Hi ladies- I haven't been on TB much for the past 5 or 6 months due to insanity in the house. My H has been working for the past few years on a case that is finally going to trial, and so he's been working literally 20 hours/day for months on end. Add to the mix a non-sleeping toddler and a high-energy 4yo, and I can barely keep my eyes open when I have free time. I recently hired a sleep consultant, so E has been sleeping much better, and I feel a little back to myself again. Anyways, I hope to be posting a lot more now so just wanted to say hi

Burned by the Bear
The consultant looked at her sleeping patterns, our routine, how we were putting her down for bed, etc. and made changes. All this time I thought a bedtime of 7-7:30pm was early enough, but apparently DD needs to go down by 6pm. Once we solidified her nap schedule and starting putting her down by 6-6:30pm (sometimes even 5:30pm depending on how long her nap was), she started sleeping 12 hours at night. We also took her crib soother out of the crib, because it was a distraction.
The sleep consultant was awesome. The consulting was all over the phone (we could have paid more to have her come to our house) and via email over a period of 2 weeks, and she really nailed the issues we were having and corrected them. We would have paid 10 times what she cost if it meant I could sleep again. I only wish I had contacted her when DD was 6 mo as opposed to 15mo!
ETA: I found her through word-of-mouth.
