DH wants so many odd pets. He would love all of these choices. Me? I want NONE. Don't want any more responsibilities. Every time I see a cute puppy, all I think is them p!ssing everywhere.
I want a chinchilla. They're so soft and cute. But they're nocturnal and would probably make the worst pet ever next to rabbits.
I raised rabbits for 4H, and then adopted one about four years ago from a girl that couldn't keep it anymore. Nastiest animals EVER to have in a house. My 4H rabbits were always outside, but Miffy had to be kept indoors. She was old and died within a year of us having her. Never again. My rabbit days are over. Miffs made me change my tune on rodents for pets.
That being said ... I've basically had every animal imaginable living indoors at one point or another while we nursed it back to health since I grew up on a farm. So I don't think there's any weird pet I'd like to have. I'd like to have a draft horse someday though. And a teeny little lap dog that never barks. Do they make those?
When I was growing up a friend of mine (her Parents) owned a large Exotic Animal rescue group.
She had a baby panther, he was adorable and they allowed it to live in her room when it was a cub. He got aggressive and was moved outside, but as a cub he was awesome.

I'm gonna be the jerk & correct you... Sorry in advance.
Rabbits aren't rodents - they're lagomorphs. They are in their own grouping. Some rodents are actually great pets. I would love to have a pet rat. They have wonderful personalities and are fairly clean. That being said, gerbils, hamsters & mice are all evil little crappers that should never be owned as pets.

LOL thank you! I don't mind corrections like that. My rabbits growing up were always nice and sweet. But I'm pretty sure Miffy came straight up from hell to torture us. My BEAGLE was even afraid of her. She forever ruined rabbits as pets for me.
and that concludes my animal kingdom pet list. We get some tree frogs in our yard during summer, and occasionally one gets in our house, but I want 100+ of them.

So this is pretty much where I'm at as far as *really* getting any more animals. But Fantasy Worm in Fantasy Land does own a monkey. And that Fantasy Monkey is well behaved and doesn't sh!t.

This kinda looks like the "Look what we sequenced here" poster they keep in the main hallway at work. You are missing the platypus though
Re: I want a pet fox, any odd pet desires?
I want a red panda in the worst way.

I hope that pic works.
I would love to have a Pygmy marmoset.
Did you ever see the commercial with the tiny giraffe?

I totally want one.

We are just going on the cuteness/coolness factor and not reality right?
A penguin, a white tiger cub, and a narwhal.
1) A spider monkey.
2) A squirrel (especially the one from the youtube videos that knows how to ride a surfboard behind a remote controlled boat in a baby pool).
3) A big parrot.

Here are the pets I want but I am afraid DH would BBQ some.
Scottish Highland
British White Cow
Norwegian Horse
Marmot
I've ALWAYS wanted a pet camel. I tried to convince my sorority to get one and keep in the courtyard.
Apparently they're "mean" and they "spit" so no one will let me have one.
I've always thought skunks were totally adorbs
I mean, my dog is letting off some serious skunk ass today, so I may as well own a real one.
YOU GUYS I had no idea there were so many cute baby animals hiding in this thread.
Lately I've been telling my husband we need a pet hedgehog:
Me too! I still occasionally ask my hubby if we can get one to keep our dog company. He says no...go figure.
Agreed! Nasty little things. And they are extremely allergenic as well. But rats are superstars.
