6 month growth spurt

Think DS is going through his six month growth spurt--is waking 2-3 times a night again to eat and sucking down 18-20 oz. of formula between 6:30/7pm and 5am.  For those who have gone through this--how long does it typically last before they taper back off and STN again?

    I found it was only about 2 weeks.
