For those of you that have been there and done that... how did the shots go??? I'm dreading her lil face when she gets the first poke :! Also any special questions you asked? We have our appt. Later today!
It was really bad. The worst so far IMO. She got two in each arm yesterday. She was also cranky the whole day and didn't sleep well at night. She's better today.
Ours wasn't too bad. The first two weren't terrible, and my DD sort of just looked at us and made a scrunchy face. The last one (MMR) is the one that stings, and as soon as that needle went in, she started crying pretty hard, but it really only lasted like a minute. Once I was able to pick her back up and comfort her, she calmed down.
These are NO fun, but remember, it is harder on you than it is for them! They will forget!!
Her appt was this AM. She only got one shot this go-round and a finger poke to test for iron levels and for the presence of lead. She DID NOT CRY at all for the finger prick, I was amazed to say the least. She did cry (hard) for less than ten seconds about the shot but them I stuck my boob in her mouth and she was over it, lol. Good luck to you and your LO.
We survived! Thanks for all of the replies. It was awful when they gave her the MMR just as I thought it would be.... she is still a little off but I will just nurse her lots and give her a lot of snuggles!

Gabe only had two shots, but the MMR was the only one he cried for. The other he made a funny face and was fine. The MMR was the kicked, always screams for that one.

Ava had 3 shots in her legs, mmr, varicella, and hepatitis a. she seemed more upset then usual at first but then was fine. The doc Saudi she could have a reaction up to 2 weeks later but i am not sure if she did as she got a cold/ear infection the next week.
