GTKY - week of 2/25/13

Sorry ladies! I've been slacking on these, and have no excuse other than work has been insanely busy these last couple weeks.

For this week's GTKY, let's go with, what is your favorite place within Colorado to travel to if you were to take a babymoon and why?

  • I might have to say Buena Vista. It's so beautiful and quiet out there. It's a great place to get away, but still be close enough to civilization that you can find a good place to eat, and relax.

  • We're big fans of Estes Park. We stayed at the Stanley for a few days on our honeymoon. We've only been up there once since we moved here, brings back good memories!

  • This is not a good GTKY for me.  We don't really travel within the state much, at least not overnight.  Mostly just day trips.  We stayed at Beaver Creek for a few days early in our marriage.  It was nice, lots of fun little places to eat and easy, scenic hikes.  I would be willing to go back, but I think I'd much rather travel somewhere further away and visit places I haven't been to instead.
  • We love Vail. The cobble stone streets, fun restaurants and pubs, and great summer biking, hiking, festivals and farmers market. Palisade is also a blast to visit wine country, but obviously not so much for a baby moon

This is how I feel.  We just got back from Portland and it was wonderful.
