I want to get a ring sling because I want to nurse ds in a carrier. He is only 7 weeks old and doesn't have the head control for my mei tai yet. How much use can I get out of a ring sling? I don't want to buy one if he's going to outgrow it soon. Any other tips or advice is greatly appreciated. TIA!!
Re: Let's talk ring slings.
I didn't even buy a ring sling until DS was 6 months, and it's the carrier I'm most likely to still use with him because it's the best for a hip carry and an up/down toddler.
You don't want to leave a newborn in a cradle hold; you can nurse that way, but get him upright after he's done eating to protect the airway.

Thank you so much!!! You used to have the link to the babywearing information in your siggy right? If so would you mind sending it to me. I liked looking through everything. I also found a babywearing group near me because you had suggested that somewhere else. They have meet ups and are willing to bring their own carriers for others to try out.
