Silly, but just curious, what are you guys going by? "I'm 12 weeks so I'm 3 months" or "on the 13th I'm due in 6 months so that's when I'm 3 months"? I know it's a small difference, but half a month seems like a lot to me when I'm excited by every little milestone!
Re: How are you guys counting your "months"?

DST T4L
Diagnosed with Anti little c antibodies. DS1 7.11.11 - Anaemia and Jaundice. 10 days in the NICU, 1 exchange transfusion and 4 blood transfusions. DS2 29.8.13 - Anaemia 7 days in the NICU and 1 exchange transfusion. Both are now happy and healthy. But there are not 4 weeks in any month except February. Since every other month has 30 or 31 days, this won't get you there. But if you're just talking to someone who asks how far along, it works fine because I don't think they really care down to the day. But for you, if you're asking for your pregnancy journal or whatever, you always turn X weeks on the same day of the week and you always turn X months on a specific date.
I'm due September 29, so I won't be three months until March 29, but I will turn 12 weeks on March 17. That's a 12 day difference! At 14 weeks (March31) I will just be 2 days past being 3 months pregnant.
What really bothers me is people who say that pregnancy is 10 months because it's 40 weeks. It's not. It may be just slightly longer than 9 months, but it's definitely not 10!

This. If I get confused looks, I mention a 40 week pregnancy.
I do this. I found out in January. So January I was one month. Feb- 2nd month and March- 3months but I'm not saying three months yet cuz it feels too early...
It is confusing. Cuz pregnancy IS 40 weeks long/ 4=10months. It's not 36weeks long and yeah, a month is more than 28days.
I think "what to expect when expecting" breaks it down.

Not sure how to make it clicky...but that's what I plan to use, easy-peasy!
I go by the date. On the 30th of this month I'll have 5 months to go so I'll consider myself 4 months.
YES to all of this, except that the pregnancy is actually SHORTER than 9 mo! We get those extra two weeks for free / no reason (they consider 0 wks to be your LMP, but you don't actually conceive until you ovulate ~2wks later). A pregnancy is 38 weeks of gestation, which works out to be less than 9 mo. So it REALLY bothers me when people say it's 10 months. I ovulated Dec 29 and I'm due Sept 22. In what world is that 10 months? not even 9.
All of this! It's one of my pet peeves. I remember getting into an argument with my sister when she tried telling me she would be pregnant for 10 months. Gahhhhh!
Me too!!! Apparently there are 13 month in the year.
