November 2013 Moms

DH is in denial :

With our first he didn't believe two BFP at home so we went to the doc and peed on their stick, still didn't believe it until the blood text results said YES MAN SHE'S PREGNANT!

This time is the same. For some reason it doesn't feel real until we hear those numbers!
Waiting for them to call is torturous!

Re: DH is in denial :

  • You aren't alone.  My hubby "kind of" believes it, but doesn't think it is real until an u/s.

  • My DH is the same way. I showed him the hpt and he?s like those lines don?t mean anything to me! Go get a test the actually says pregnant lol

  • I'm still in denial... forget DH.

3 positive HPTs, but no symptoms means that mom is operating under the assumption that she's KU'd but still not yet feeling KU'd.  I'm hoping someone remembers this post in 36 weeks when I'm like beached whale big and sooooo ready for the end!!

  • It's the opposite in my house.

I'm in denial that this is happening, and I'm really trying to stay positive that everything will be okay. DH is the one who is convincing me that this is it, and to think positive.

  • My DH told me that it doesn't feel real yet. And honestly, I don't either. I don't think either of us will until after the first doctor appt.

  • My hubby is the exact same - doesn't even want to TALK about it til doctor confirms it. And I had the most frustrating experience this morning. I had booked my first doctor's appointment for this morning and was eagerly awaiting getting the blood work, etc done, especially since I have hardly any symptoms and this is my first pregnancy so I really don't know what to think. Anyway I arrived at the doctor's office only to be told that he had called in sick today, and now I have rescheduled for next week Wednesday! Such a long wait. DH is going to have to accept it sooner or later... am just praying that everything is okay and that my lack of nausea isn't a bad thing.

  • DH and I sort of both don't believe it. Although, he's much more aware (if that is the right word!) that this could be real than the other times. My line was quite dark on the test, and now with my first beta back today, he's talking more like it is real. I'm having a hard time b/c I just expect the worst, based on history. I also don't really have symptoms, other than bloating, so I just don't "feel" pregnant.

Yep!!  DS1 made me sicker than a dog -- everyday all day long.

DS2 was a stinkin' breeze.  I threw up one time.  Didn't have all day nausea.  You'll be fine, dear!!  Hopefully, your appointment gets here soon and you get the reassurance you need!!
