horrible pain in left side of abdomen

I have been having a horrible pain in the left side of my abdomen for like the last hour with 3 contractions in the last half hour.

should i be concerned? I am trying to be tough... I have my weekly appt at 7pm. 

Any idea what this could be?

    I would call the doctor better safe than sorry. Maybe they will bring you in early to get checked out.

    I had that the other day and was sent to Labor and Delivery to be monitored... My blood pressure was high so they monitored us and got my pressure down and sent us home... I would call your OB just to be safe!!
