Right now we only have 2 steps in our place (sunken living room), but the new house we bought has two full flights of stairs. The stairs to the basement have a door at the top, so that's no problem. But we need to put a gate at the top of the stairs to upstairs. Any recommendations for a gate you love or one that was a complete waste of money that I should be avoiding?

Re: Recommend your stair gate
We have two of these in bronze and I love them. Very sturdy.

We have one of these at the bottom and top of the stairs. I love it.
We have this one. We absolutely love it! We have 1 mounted to the wall at the top of the stairs. And one we use pressure mounted at the bottom of the stairs. We've never had an issue with either and we've had both for over 2 years. I like this gate because there's nothing you have to walk over or may be a trip hazard like some of the metal stair gates. It's also able to be a mounted gate or a pressure gate. Works really great for us!

We have this but it was only $40 at walmart. We have it in the middle of our stairs though. I really need to find something for the top.
