I had a Golden Retriever and a Blonde Cocker Spaniel growing up. I about died when I found out you can get a mix. Cockers are not the best with kids but these are suppose to have the temperament of the Golden.
Shih Tzu. Hands down. DH and I had a shih Tzu and he was truly the best dog ever. They don't shed, are very happy, good with kids, and adorable.
I have asthma and severe animal allergies, so we are limited with what breeds we can have. The other breed I would pick if I had the option would be a Cairn Terrier (Toto)
I had a Shih Tzu when I was really little. She loved to play with me so much she would let me dress her in my baby doll clothes and carry her around like a baby.

Omg. I second this. We have a golden now. Growing up we had German shepherds, huskies, and Alaskan malamutes.
My bff has a St Bernard. Omg, the slobber. He is really awesome though. He had to have a brow lift when he was a pup due to an eye problem and now he has scars that look just like eyebrows.
A Mauxie - it is a mix of a doxin and a maltese! They are the cutest things ever. We have a maltese and a friend has a doxin and we are considering one litter of mauxie puppies!
I'm going to AW my Great Dane Slater as a puppy because now that I've had a Great Dane they're really the only dog I would want to have going forward!
This was the day we brought him home at 6 weeks old!
But other than a Great Dane I've always wanted a King Charles Cavalier. I think they're adorable but DH doesn't agree so I don't think we'll ever have one unless I did some hardcore convincing (read: back rubs every night for LIFE).
OMG that golden spaniel is awesome! I love all these kinds of dogs.
we have always had Alaskan malamutes. They're huge and my fav. I think they are so much cuter than huskies too. I also want a Newfie and St. Bernard!!
ahhh I love big dogs
this was our malamute as a puppy
This is a lab mix puppy we were looking at adopting. I love labs, who am i kidding, I think I would take every dog you ladies have posted pictures of- okay except the St. bernard or the Great Dane. They are beautiful dogs and have great personalities but I do not think I could handle the drool or the poop.
Awe man. This is weakening my resolve! DH and V want a puppy. I don't think we are ready for one. Also since I am home I would be the one to potty train and do the majority caring.
I have enough to do with M and our current beagle dog and the house.
lol, I know me too. We are not getting a dog anytime soon but man this post is making me puppy dream. I work from home so it would be me doing all the work.

why don't we see him more? the color is beautiful!
We always get so many compliments on his color! I think I posted a picture on IG a few days ago of him with Nola, but yea I don't post enough dog pictures. I'll try to throw a few more in there!
I like mine. She's getting older for a bulldog (their lifespan is only about 8-10 years) and she's turning 8 in September.
We have an english bull dog, she is actually living with my MIL now, She is a great dog! She is 5 yrs. The only thing I can't stand with her is that she has such an awful odor.
May I take a minute to say I LOVE LOVE LOVE dogs? This thread has made my day... let me introduce and suggest you take a look at a cute border collie and spunky westie! - My big babies.
Sky. This is border collie/beagle mix as a puppy. She is 5 now. She has been one of the best dogs I have ever had. She is so smart and gentle.
This is Bella, - The name has nothing to do with Twilight. She is a west highland white terrier. She is VERY smart and LOVES watching TV. Westies are great dogs, most westies I've been around aren't extremely friendly with children they aren't familiar with.

yeah, they do get stinky. It's hard too because they have skin problems, so you can't bathe too often.

A Jack Russell Terrier
adorable!
I would get a Dalmatian & MH would get a Boxer.
I was going to page you a few days ago and ask you what breed he is...he is GORGEOUS!
I would probably choose a Great Dane. My uncle had them when I was growing up and they are the most lovable dogs.
I have two Cavaliers now and they are also a great breed. I think I will always have a Cavalier.
My first "kids".....
A long haied daschund. I have a short-haired and love her to pieces.
Edit
I love your dog pics on IG, but the puppy pics are just too much cute!

I wish our house was big enough to have a Bernese Mountain Dog Puppy and also,
we already have a choc. lab but I want one in every color.
