Hi Ladies!! This week I think all of us will begin to enter the third tri! Yay!! This is a big milestone for me :)

I've not been around lately so I apologize for missing anything important. I've started school and my job has been increasingly busy lately. Not to mention I think I'm hitting the uncomfortable stage, at least the beginning of it. Oiy.

  • 1. How are you doing? (updates, appointments, symptoms, concerns) -Going today for a growth ultrasound since my doctor said I'm measuring a little big for this stage. Hoping baby is just big and there's not underlying concerns.

    2. Thoughts/prayers requests? My growth ultrasound and glucose test today.... positive positive positive!

    3. Something good/funny this past week- not baby related but my husband told me yesterday that he just "got" the song mommy kissing santa claus... haha i had a good laugh.

    4. Something frustrating this past week Work! It's been so busy lately

    5. GTKY: What is something you are looking most forward to doing post-pregnancy? This is more silly and less serious but after the past few work weeks I'm looking forward to a tall glass of wine!!!

    1. How are you doing? (updates, appointments, symptoms, concerns) No concerns, I have an appt this week and every 2 weeks now which I tought I would enjoy but am now finding to be a bother. No symptoms other than heartburn, swollen calves and ankles, calf pain, stomach and back pain and lots of trouble sleeping and breathing...I guess all the regular stuff.

    2. Thoughts/prayers requests? None

    3. Something good/funny this past week -- Nope

    4. Something frustrating this past week -- Not being able to sleep although I am so tired

    5. GTKY: What is something you are looking most forward to doing post-pregnancy? I know the weight doesn't come off right away for me but being able to breathe will be nice. I can't wait to snuggle this baby. I can't think of anything else really. Even the thought of a nice drink doesn't do much for me right now.

  • 1. How are you doing? (updates, appointments, symptoms, concerns)

I've been sick with the flu this past week/weekend. Heartburn is still a pain, my hips are starting to hurt more and it is getting hard to sleep. I did pass my 1 hour glucose test (: next appointment isn't until the 25th and then I start every two weeks.

    2. Thoughts/prayers requests? None.

    3. Something good/funny this past week: My husband, brother and I were watching some horror movie and my husband put his hand on my stomach to feel Madison and scared both of us. We both felt the biggest kick she's ever done, I though her foot would pop out, my husband jumped lol and was a little weirded out.

    4. Something frustrating this past week: Something with my husband's job.

    5. GTKY: What is something you are looking most forward to doing post-pregnancy? To have a glass of wine or margarita. Be able to hold baby girl (:

  • I just got back from my GTT.  I actually enjoyed the drink which is a sad indicator of my love for sugar.  I feel good and normal after the test though so I'm hoping that's a good sign.  Also I'm now up to appts every 2 weeks, which I wasn't expecting to happen already.  Just another sign that the end is near!

My mom and aunt did my shower invites yesterday and are putting them in the mail today so I'm excited for that.

I gained 4.5 pounds in 3 weeks which was a little shocking, but I also can tell I got bigger and more round recently, so whatever.  My OB told me less sugar and more fiber and protein though.  And I go tomorrow to finish my root canal.  Not looking forward to that.

I can't wait for some post-pregnancy drinks.  I'm looking forward to sitting on the back deck after with beer and vodka and lemonades.

  • Had an appointment yesterday and all is well with baby. Hes measuring a week and 3 days ahead (yay) and my placenta has moved into the correct location (double yay!). My bp was a little elevated when they took it the first time so they took it at the end of the appointment and it was more normal. Just to be safe my ob took some blood and scheduled me to come in next week just to get my bp taken. I'll go back a week after that then every 2 weeks after, lol.

My shower is in 2 weeks and I cannot be more excited! I get to go home (to Florida) for it and see my friends and family. AH, I cant wait! And lets see...something funny. My husband and I were in Best Buy the other day and the baby kicked me really hard in the bellybutton and caused me to jump/scream and people turned around to stare at me. lol, it just scared the crap out of me and my husband couldnt stop laughing at me.

Theres nothing too frustrating going on lately...just normal work stuff for both me and my husband.

What am I looking forward to post-pregnancy? Definitely holding this feisty little boy and seeing how my husband interacts with him. And Im with most of you, a nice tall drink....after some of my work days, a rum and coke just sounds amazing. Oh and sweet tea! =)

  • 1. How are you doing? (updates, appointments, symptoms, concerns) I'm doing good most of the time. My congestion is almost completely gone! My next appointment is on Monday morning, it should be a short one.

    2. Thoughts/prayers requests? None

    3. Something good/funny this past week DH came back home this morning after being away for way too long due to work!

    4. Something frustrating this past week Last night I could not open my apartment door, I ended up taking apart the door lock so that I could get out of my apartment. Yeah, we need a new lock.

    5. GTKY: What is something you are looking most forward to doing post-pregnancy? Meeting my precious little girl and fitting into my old clothes.

  • srhouse26:  good luck on your GT test

Blueeyed: Hope everything is still in place and holding strong

    1. How are you doing? (updates, appointments, symptoms, concerns)

I have to go in for my second GD test. I had one at 18 weeks and another schedule for next week. Last time I passed with great numbers so I am hoping I pass again. I have a midwife appt next week. Here this is when they will start measuring me to see where I am at. Before this is was just my midwife feeling my bump and saying everything is looking good.

    2. Thoughts/prayers requests?none

    3. Something good/funny this past week-  gvideoing with my sister to see my nephew. He is so tiny.

    4. Something frustrating this past week Work!  Having to go up three flights of stairs to use the bathroom at work....though I do get my workout

    5. GTKY: What is something you are looking most forward to doing post-pregnancy?  I wasn't a big drinker before pregnancy....where I live they say lunch meat is totally fine to have, and I'm not a fan of sushi so I haven't really given up much.

I guess I am really looking forward to sleeping on my stomach again. Or I know it will be hard work but I am looking forward to starting up a running  race training  program again and getting back into shape. I'm amazed at my body and I now have a greater respect for it so I am going to try really hard to keep on this exercise/be healthy lifestyle post pregnancy.

  • Happy third tri to all the late bloomers!

    1. How are you doing? (updates, appointments, symptoms, concerns) I'm having horrible migraines and insomnia.

    2. Thoughts/prayers requests? Effing hormone changes also decided to give me gestational diabetes. I just found out and am taking it very hard

    3. Something good/funny this past week ~ I found a few additional maternity shirts in my closet. Jackpot.

    4. Something frustrating this past week. Besides the GD, our car AC went on the fritz a few weeks ago. And then yesterday the fan broke too. I'm so sick of money.

    5. GTKY: What is something you are looking most forward to doing post-pregnancy? Hopefully lose the GD, hold my baby and drink a glass of wine.

  • 1. How are you doing? (updates, appointments, symptoms, concerns)

Things are going well.  I passed my glucose test last week, but I am slightly anemic so I'm taking an iron supplement.  I've also had a nasty cold that I'm trying to get over.  Every time I cough I sniss, so I'd really like for it to be gone!

    2. Thoughts/prayers requests?

Just that all of us will have healthy babies in just a very short while!  :)

    3. Something good/funny this past week

My church had a baby shower for me on Saturday.  It was very nice and it put a good dent in my registry.  I still have lots to buy, but we've made some progress.  Also the nursery painting is almost complete.  Once that's done, I'll be able to get the decorating going!

    4. Something frustrating this past week

Just the cold that I have.  I'm ready for it to be gone.

    5. GTKY: What is something you are looking most forward to doing post-pregnancy?

Running.  I had really let myself go right before I got pregnant and so I haven't exercised much since.  I miss running so much, especially when the weather is nice and cool like it is right now.  I can't wait to get back out there.  I dream about running at least once a week!

  • 1. How are you doing? (updates, appointments, symptoms, concerns) Im doing good. Having a lot of pressure and some vajay jay issues (yes I did just go Oprah lol). Have an appointment tomorrow to discuss and see if I passed my GTT. 2. Thoughts/prayers requests? 3. Something good/funny this past week Had my 28 week ultrasound. Got free 4D pictures and it looks like we will be having a boy, finally got confirmation. 4. Something frustrating this past week They never did find the penis, just the scrotum so it still makes me nervous. 5. GTKY: What is something you are looking most forward to doing post-pregnancy? Drinking some wine! I miss being able to unwind with my glass of red!

  • 1. I have my GTT on Thursday so FX I pass. I also have my regular OB appointment and need to discuss what L and D told me about my 'softening' cervix, I've googled it but don't want to draw any conclusions.

    2. Thoughts/prayers requests: None

    3. Something good/funny this past week: Nothing comes to mind.

    4. Something frustrating this past week: I found out my parents are getting a divorce after 40 years of marriage and ended up in L and D from the stomach flu and gallbladder issues, not my best week.

    5. GTKY: What is something you are looking most forward to doing postpregnancy? Eating sushi and cuddling my little man! Probably not at the same time... Dropping wasabi on the baby might not make for a good time. This is assuming my killer acid reflux goes away and I can actually enjoy spicy food again.
