Carters socks?

I'm looking for more socks for LO (I am sooo tired of the Target ones that just slip right off).  Carters is having a sale (when aren't they?) and they're easy to get to...so I wonder if others recommend Carters socks? Or are they just as bad as Target?

If not Carters, where do you get your LO's socks?

I'm looking for plain white and solid colored socks...we've been given great patterned socks as gifts, but have too many outfits that call for plain socks!

Thanks.

  • The Carter's socks we have don't stay on.  We've had the best luck with Hanes cuffed socks.

  • The only socks that DD can't pull off are the BRU ones that fold over and come in a multipack. The color options are limited to white, pink and blue, though.

  • I've had success with Carters socks. I've also had success with the Kohl's brand (Jumping beans?).

  • I buy these socks for DS:

    https://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=42782&vid=1&pid=342693032

I usually wait until Gap is having a sale and then buy a bunch,  They are 30% off right now.  I tried the BRU socks and they did stay on, but they were so tight they left marks on DS.  I didn't think they were too comfortable for him so I tried to find something else.

  • I had this issue with every brand of socks, so I googled what I can do, and found sock ons. I bought a pair off of Amazon, and LOVE them!  I will be buying more as soon as we get our income taxes back and have a little extra money.

sorry it's not a clicky, it wont do it anymore for me.

But, they come in all sorts of colors!

We use these too and have good luck with them staying on. I also use the trumpette socks which I like because they have the name on the bottom which provides a little bit of a grip.

  • The only way we can keep socks on DD is for her to wear robeez shoes (the ones with the elastic around the ankles).

  • Old Navy has socks that seem identical to the ones from baby Gap, with the no-slip stuff on the soles.

We've had good success with Hanes brand (found at Target) and Gap brand.  They are not fold over socks - more like mini "tube" socks.  Granted DS can pull them off, but if he doesn't try to get them off, they stay put.  And, both have pretty decent slip proof writing on the bottom.  DS cruises around on our wood floors in them and so far (knock on wood) hasn't had any sock related slips.

  • I love Carter's socks, in fact they are the only ones I buy.  I buy plain white short tube socks and they have never come off of my little guy.
