We have a brick fireplace in our living room that our 10 month old loves to pull herself up to and play on and it makes me soooo nervous. So I looked at those baby proof hearth liners you can get at the baby stores but they're pretty pricey and not to cute so I came up with the idea to make a cushion for the fireplace. It's soft for her to play on and it's extra seating for when company comes over. (And it cost 1/4 to make compared to what the hearth liner in the baby store sold for.)
