For those trying to lay low during RSV/cold/flu season, when do you plan to venture out with your LO?
We are not under any doctor ordered lockdown or anything...just my own personal decision to not take my son out anywhere other than his peds appointments and neighborhood walks once and awhile. I live in the south and we're starting to have some nicer days here and there, which has made me think about when I can start to take him out in public once and awhile.
Re: When is germ season over?
Yup, this. In OH the incidence levels are now just below last year's peak. Meh. This season was just THAT bad. Pretty sure they won't be leaving the house for anything except dr appointments for a while, but in a few weeks we'll start allowing a few other visitors to the house to see the girls.
...after they scrub down, and promise to come to our house straight from their own house...so they haven't been coming from a public place. Yeah, the NICU has made us borderline certifiable.
It is definitely better by April but I remember my son started daycare at 8.5 months and it was the end of May and there were still a few cases of RSV at his school. Luckily he never got it but he did come down with an awful stomach virus only 2 days after starting daycare.
That being said I wasn't overly cautious with staying home I just purelled the crap out of everything. We were out to dinner the day after Kieran came home from the NICU.
