Phew :] I figured I missed this last week...I've been neglecting TB lately.
Milestones? We've really started incorporating solids into DD's diet. She seems to really like them :] I need to dig up some more exciting recipes for her though.
She's also really started to babble this week. Lots of "da da da da", some "ba ba ba" and a few "ma ma mas". It's so cute.
Challenges? We've been sick this week. Started last weekend with a fever, then cough, painful chest, headache, sinus congestion...it's been lovely. DH woke this morning with a fever...oh goodness, save us all! Oh ya, SD was throwing up last night too! Yay us!
Otherwise, things are going well, still bfing my little munchkin, so hopefully she isn't affected by all this illness too harshly.
Hope you all are having a better week than us!

Poor sick folks! Hope everyone's better soon. And babbling! So cute.
Milestones: he's sitting up pretty good, is pulling himself all around the carpet and finally will take a bottle!!
Challenges: sleep/napping continues to be a struggle. I don't know what to do. Running out of ideas. Currently he is laying in his crib just screeching away (not crying). I had him out to play but he is so cranky and won't sleep. He was previously only waking up once a night and now we are back to 3x a night.
GTKY: favourite toy growing up was this silly FisherPrice flashlight that changed to red or green lights. Side story: My family was snowmobiling across our lake to the cabin and we hit a bump, me and my mom fell off (we were in the back on a sleigh) lost my flashlight and cried for the whole day. My dad finally went back to look for it and he found it! And it still works to this day!!
We're still having some challenges with spoon feeding, though it's mostly that she just doesn't like it. She's devouring anything I give her to feed herself, though, so I'm hopeful that after I've taken my infant CPR class I'll be less hesitant and we can do more BLW.
We also visited family this weekend, and I had to snap at one of DH's cousins for passing DD around like she was a doll. I know five years ago I would've probably treated babies the same way, but it still feels ludicrous to me that I have to remind people that she's a person, too, and it's not okay just to hand her around without warning.
GTKY: I'm not sure I can pick just one. My brother and I loved Legos, and I was just thinking the other day about Quints. Did anyone else have those? Damn, they were cute. I hope DD's toys are as cool in a few years.

I loved Legos! I have so many fond memories of playing legos with my brother for hours and hours at a time when we were growing up. I hope DS loves them too. I can't wait until he is older and we can sit and build things together.

This is the I-should-be-sleeping-edition. But I forgot to post last week!
Any challenges this week, mamas? Milestones? Funny stories?
GTKY: What was your favorite toy when you were a kid?
Challenges: sleep has been really fragmented these past few nights. LO has been a little congested and I think it is waking him up. I would blame it on teething, but I seem to have been blaming most waking on teething for two months now. I guess eventually I will be correct.
Milestones: K can now sit himself up all by himself. He is rocking back and forth on all fours like a champ and he can even move his knees forward in a crawl, he just hasn't figured out how to do the hands. Now he gets up on all fours and then scoots his knees right behind his hands before he leaps forward and does a face plant to reach a toy. It scares me, but he seems delighted with himself.
GTKY: I was pretty girly and I loved my Babies! I had the dream house and everything. I actually played with them for a very long time, at least until 10 or 11, but as I got older it was more for the fashion and hairstyles. I used to sew my own clothes for them.

Things gave been going ok. DS has been smiling up a storm, playing, and chuckling...so cute!!! He is also sleeping great at night and we are just about dropping a feed so I'm only up once now.
We've had some challenges for sure this week. The worst has been getting mastitis. It. Was. Awful. Im on the mend now with antibiotics but wow! DS has also gotten to be a pretty lazy eater this week. Also he has been cat napping and not giving me any naps longer than a half hour! Anyone have a bad napper? Advice?
GTKY I loved the game memory. No idea why but u coul play that all day long. Weird but true.

I went back to work today. My husband is home with the kids so leaving them was not as hard as it was putting DS in daycare three years ago. My challenge is my milk overproduction in the mornings. DD will either STTN or wake up once in the middle of the night to nurse but even them she doesn't take in a lot of milk. Therefore I have to pump a lot at home and drag my pump to and from work and remember to pack my parts as well. PITA for sure.
My favorite toys to play with were Barbies. I still have the Barbie swimming pool set and someday DD will play with it. I also have a Star Wars Ewok village set circa 1984.

Well besides a bat flying over DS and he having to get the rabies vaccine last night (with boosters over the next week), I'd say we are good.
Because the cold DS has been having for the last 3 1/2 weeks seems to have disappeared. No joke, he slept better, and ate better last night after the ER (and today), then he has in almost a month!
So obviously you know that means right?
Lol, jk! I shared this with my BMB group, too
GTKY: What was your favorite toy when you were a kid? I had a huge collection of the My Little Pony horses. I may, or may not, have collected the mini versions that came with McD happy meals years ago ~

I had Quints! My little sister kept stealing them and hiding them, then
forgetting where she hid them. So on a good day I had Quints, but most
of the time probably triplets :
My brother was too busy breaking the heads and legs off of my Barbies. The Quints were spared!

ROFL I love the Ancient Aliens guy.
Also, I totally had four of those ponies on my desk at work. I distributed them among my coworker friends when I went on maternity leave
