Please tell me that every winter will not be like this one! That DD and I will build up an immunity and I won't spend every February/March sick as a dog! For the last month, as soon as DD and I get better, we catch something else. I feel like we've been sick forever!
Those of with older kids, please tell me this will get better. Please please please.

Re: DC and Getting Sick!
I don't want to jinx it - but it seems like after an extended period of G being sick - we're talking from Sept when he went from PT daycare to FT, up until the end of Jan where it was maybe a week in between illnesses including ear infections, bronchiolotis, flu, norovirus, colds it looks like we are moving to a better place w/ the sickness. He had double ear infection 2 weeks ago, but all things considered that's not even registering as "sick" for me anymore... so maybe its getting better or maybe it is just I'm numb to him being ill - either way it does seem better, real or perceived.
Also my pedi reassured me this is true, since I was nearly in tears in her office when G came off noro straight into a cold. I was also horrified to learn that she typically sees kids in DC having 12 colds/winter first year. Argh. Depressing.
I hope it gets better. Landon & I have been sick on & off since Halloween. He's sick again today. To make matters worse I've been waiting 2 hours for the RX to hit the pharmacy & I even called the doctors office while I was waiting. I just came home & he is napping-but I don't think I can deal with anymore viruses, cold, or ear infections.
I'm probably going to make DH pick the script up on his way home from work-I'm just fuming that no one bothered to call in the RX in a timely matter for me today. I guess I should call & make sure they get it in before the office closes. Sorry to vent I'm just really frustrated right now. I don't normally complain about a sick baby...and I understand your frustration.
The pedi said it does get better when they get a little older & stay at home kids get everything once they hit preschool/kindergarten. We'll see.
It does get better!!
DD has been in daycare for a little over a year and she is definitely having longer stretches of good health. When she first started last winter, she was literally sick every other week. Now, she is sick roughly every 3 weeks. She is also recovering quicker.
Hang in there! There is a light at the end of the tunnel. ((hugs))

It gets better. B has had one bad illness this winter (norovirus) and one tough cold.
Last winter (first winter in daycare) she was sick from pretty much the day she started until May/June. We had 2 ear infections, norovirus, another random fever, a constant cold, a cough that lasted forever....
