RP from 0-3: Car Seat Question

I have a Chicco Keyfit that I used with DS #1.  He was born in the summer so I never had to worry about this....

I have the infant body & head support parts to put back in, but I also was planning on using Bundle Me cover to keep LO warm.  Have you/did you use these 2 things together?  

Or did you just take out the infant pieces and use the Bundle Me?  

Or do I wait on the Bundle Me and use the infant parts now and blankets?

I don't know which option is best! TIA for any input!  :)

    I would skip the bundle me and just use blankets.

    I preferred the shower cap style much more than the Bundle Me.

    This.  I don't think it is safe to use any add ons that aren't made by the manufacturer. With DS I just put him in a fleece or warm sleeper with a hat when we went out & used a blanket.

    All of this.

    Using anything after market between the baby and the seat also voids the warranty of the seat. So if, God forbid, something were to happen and you used this after market item, Chicco would not replace your seat or would not be responsible for anything that may happen to your baby.

    Skip the Bundle Me and use a shower cap style car seat cover with blankets over baby. No jackets or snowsuits should be worn in the seat either.

    We modified the bundle me using this techinique from The Car Seat Lady. She has an article about why it's not safe, and if you scroll down there is a video showing hot to modify it for use safely:

    After cutting the back out, it didn't interfere at all with the infant head insert or the straps.
