I like. I've never actually heard it in real life.
I pronounce it eye-luh. I was under the impression that was the only correct way? But I will admit that before I came on here I had NO IDEA how to pronounce it. Its the one reason I would never use it. People in my life would have no clue how to pronounce it.
I would pronounce it Isla and TBH, I am over it. I has been very popular in our area for the last few years and I know 4 or 5 Islas under the age of three.
OT: I noticed your son's name is Augie...just wondering what is the longer version of his name? I love the name Augustus and that was our choice for our last if we had a boy. (:
It's August : )

eye-la, and I know a number of little girls named it. It's not my style, but it's a nice name for someone else's kid and I certainly wouldn't side-eye it.

I don't mind it. It's not really popular in my area. I thought eye-la was the only way to pronounce it? The iss-la way would be my fear in using it because I wouldn't want people to say that.
I love it but that ^ would be my fear when using it. My 40 year old female cousin brought it up to me a while back and pronounced it incorrectly and I wanted to cry because I can see that happening all.the.time...and it's just too pretty of a name to be mispronounced so horribly. :S
I only know of one IRL. She is 1.
ETA: Although I first encountered the name when I was in junior high...so about 16 years ago. A friend's mn is spelled Islay...pronounced Isla. Loved it ever since I heard it.

I would pronounce it Ees-la, like the Spanish word for island.
I personally have never really liked it for a name.
Eye-la

eye-la
I like it
I like it, but I do think since it became reasonably popular relatively quickly, it has the potential to sound dated.
Edit to add: Eye-lah

LOVE Isla. I am begging my husband to consider it. I heard it IRL when a mom called her daughter that and I loved it even more then.
