DH & I decided to start TTC in January. Unfortunately, he was sick for almost two weeks so we didn't really try until February. I used FF w/ DD & I found it to be very helpful, & I got KU quickly. I realize FF only makes predictions based on what I input. However, based on my temps & other signs, I Ovulated on CD 16 (red line appeared on CD 18) I think we timed our BDing pretty well. Well, on CD 23, the O line switched to CD 19. I've never had that happen before. So while its certainly possible to get pregnant, I'm sure our 20% chance (if we even had that) dropped significantly. I know it is our first real month trying & I can't obsess or I'll drive myself crazy. But I'm already of AMA & not getting any younger.
Question--I did not use OPKs with DD. Any recommendations? How often do you test? It looks like some ladies test multiple times in one day? I know I could check out TTC & ask over there (I've lurked a little), but it seem like several of you have used them so I thought I'd ask here first.
Re: Frustrated with Fertility Friend
I test 2 times a day 3 days before and after FF predict when I'm going to O.
I hate that!
FWIW, the month FF moved my red line was the month I got Lauren!
Awwww! Thanks for that :
I'm not giving up hope yet, just frustrated!!
Now that I think about it and look at my chart, FF was confused on my O date for awhile the month we got Audra. I'm still not convinced that it picked the right date but oh well.
I tried OPKs for the first time the month I got pregnant with #2. I bought the internet cheapies because my cycles are in no way regular and I knew I would need a lot of them. I tested at least in the morning, and then if I didn't forget, I would test at night. After quite some time of negatives I finally stopped. One day I randomly tested because I felt other signs of O and it was +!
Anyway, FF moved my lines every month (if I even got them at all!) because it gets so confused. My temps are always ok, but my CM and other factors are always wonky. I learned to just use FF as a simple tracking tool and not to put too much weight in it. Hang in there, you still have a chance!
