Getting my balls checked today :)

Eyeballs that is. I hate going to the eye doctor I get so stressed out that I feel sick.

I have to have them to sign off on my driver's license. I'm always afraid they are going to restrict my license like they did my dad. We have the same eye disease, his did not get resticted thoug until he was 60 so I'm being a little irrational here. The last time they made me come back three times to do testing before they signed off. I'd take 20 pap smears over a trip to the eye doctor any day.

What appointment do you dislike most?

I feel you. I've had multiple eye appointments over the last two years due to my corneal abrasions. I had two surgeries on my eye, which I'd take recovery from 5 c sections over one of those surgeries.

Good luck! The eye doctor doesn't bother me, but I HATE the dentist. Dentist appointments give me anxiety. And my teeth are fine, but the whole process is the WORST for me. I'll take the GYNO any day over the dentist.

Boooo, that stinks! I hope it goes well for you and your balls are ok.
I hate when they blow that puff of air into your eye. I get such anxiety about that!

I second the dentist. Hate it. I get super anxious about it. Would much rather have 10 paps.... Especially by my obgyn that I have the hots for..... I'm bummed that we're back down to a once a year basis....

I hear you on the Eyes. I hate them. My eyes don't work together, when they do I see double, I had surgery to correct the problem just after I got married. My brain spent 26 years compensating for the problem and refused to adapt and the surgery reversed itself. If my vision is corrected to 20/20 I see double. Which makes me dizzy, gives me a headache and usually has me in bed for the rest of the day. Every appointment, they check my prescription by forcing me to see double. Every appointment she does exercises to try and get me to use both my eyes at the same time. It's utter torture and I always end up at home, in bed with a headache from hell.

I would rather have a colonoscopy than go to the eye doctor.

GL! I hope they sign off for you. I couldn't imagine having the stress of that.

I dread going to the dermatologist. I'm a melanoma survivor with a high likelihood of the cancer reoccurring, so every appointment I end up with biopsies and then a sweatypalmed two week wait to hear results. A pap smear is definitely more pleasant.

I don't mind the dentist or the eye doctor, but I hate the general practitioner. I get anxiety over weight, blood pressure, etc.

I hate anything having to do with eyeballs! I hope your exam goes very well and you don't have to make repeat visits.

My most hated exams is for paps but I have entered the mammogram age so I am already dreading that even though I don't have one scheduled or on the horizon.

I hate gyno appts. That could be because I have been there so often in the past 5 Years.

Or that in 2012 I had 5 paps and probably 810 vaginal invasions. I'm all about health but come on! I'm due for my annual in April too

Another vote for the dentist. Cleaning/scrapings are the worst! Actually I'd take another root canal over a cleaning. At least they give you Novocain for the canal.

I dread the pap smear more than anything. My grandmother and mother both had cervical cancer, and ultimately needed hysterectomies...and now my sister is going through the same thing. My doctor tells me that cervical cancer isn't something that is genetic, but it is too big if a coincidence for me, so I dread the pap.

I dont mind the eye doc., but I dread going to the dentist. For whatever reason - I have weak enamel, and it seems like they ALWAYS need to do something.

Am I the only one who kind of likes the dentist? I find teeth cleaning to be soothing. Although, having my tooth pulled last year wasn't exactly funsies.

I'm the same way. I don't mind the eye doctor, but I hate the dentist.

PSD - is it a form of macular degeneration?

I was at the dentist this morning. I don't mind it. What I hate is the dermatologist b/c I'm always scared they're going to find something and when they don't I worry that they didn't look at me carefully enough.

No, I have optic nerve atrophy which can be caused by many different things. In my case it is a rare genetic disease that caused my optic nerve to recede. It is supposed to be stable now but it has caused multiple tiny blind spots. My dad and my brother also have it.

Another one for the dentist. I should've posted this in FFFC, but I haven't been to the dentist since I was pregnant with L Embarrassed The longer I've been putting it off, the more anxious I get.. it's a viscious circle. I know I need to go, but damnit I'm a wuss.

I think part of the anxiety is due to the fact that every time I would go to the dentist, no matter how many times a day I brushed/flossed my teeth, I would always need to get a cavity filled.. it was super frustrating.. and expensive.
