I just wanted to put it out there to the board our thanks for weighing in and your support around our donor-questions and fears this past weekend.
This morning, based on a tip from another Cdn online-friend, we got on the phone to all the Canadian distributors for Xytex and were able to find two locations that had enough vials in their own storage for us. I've sent the email off to our clinic to have them place our order ASAP for 5 vials, which is pretty much the max we can afford right now (they are $800 each!).
FX our clinic gets it done early enough for us to get them secured before someone else comes along and scoops them up! There really are a limited number of Canadian compliant donors out there, so selling out of particular donors isn't rare at all.
Anyway - THANK YOU to all of you for weighing in and your support. We felt confident this morning knowing that if we weren't able to find any for our first choice we had a good 2nd choice plan in place that we had talked through.

Re: Thank YOU!
Manada,
I'm so glad this worked out for you! It was a CRAZY weekend for us and I just got to read all the posts at about midnight last night. I also use Xytex and know how quickly they can sell out, especially of donors like the one you described. I wish I could have offered some support when you were struggling with your decision, but I'm glad that for now and another 5 cycles (which we all know you won't need)
you won't have to take this on as an extra worry.
Good luck this week! We're all rooting for you and Healz!
