Hello! I've posted a few times on this board & would like to give y'all a little update!
I am a FTM and just had the most wonderful, natural birth experience! Our "little" man was born Feb. 22 @ 11:17am, he weighed 8lbs, 12oz & was 22.5'' long! (8 Days late...I was due Feb. 14)

I had been having constant BH for weeks, on Feb 21st I had an appointment and was checked - I was 2cm dilated & almost totally effaced, and had a stretch & sweep done. All afternoon I just assumed I was having BH ~30 minutes apart, but in hindsight it must have been the beginning of labour! At 11:20pm suddenly contractions were 5minutes apart. I tried to sleep, but could only manage another hour or so before they started getting much stronger around 12:30am. At that time I got up and we called my doula (who just so happens to be my SIL) and she came over. I laboured with my SIL, Mom & Husband with me until around 4:30am when we went to the hospital my contractions were only about 3-4 minutes apart. 

Once at the hospital we were left to labour in the room until 6am when I was checked I was 6cm...at 8am the Doctor came and broke my water which seemed to have no intensions of breaking on its own! After that things revved up. At some points I really thought it was impossible, I didn't know how I could possibly go on...but my Husband was such an incredible support and really kept me focused & able to breath through when I wanted to push so bad, but wasn't able to yet!!

At around 9:45am the doctor came back and I was SO HAPPY to have her check me and say it was time to push! Little Nikolas was born at 11:17am! He came out with his fist tucked under his chin, which didn't really help me out at all lol...but he was so healthy and beautiful and ALERT! Immediately he was placed on my chest & was looking around everywhere...it was amazing!! 

I am so proud of myself for sticking to my plan and so proud of my husband for supporting me like he did. Our son is an amazing gift from God & we couldn't be happier! Our doctor was awesome and didn't push any "doctory" things lol, and she supported our med free choices, along with skin-skin immediately, and delayed cord clamping, it was really awesome & an amazing experience!!
