Pre school question

Hi Moms,

My soon will be 3 in August and he is currently in daycare Tuesdays and Thursdays full day. My husband and i are trying to figure out what to do for September and just looking for some opinions on pros/ cons. They have preschool at his current daycare so it?s an easy transition and he was going full time up until 6 months ago. We can basically make our own schedule- and the full time hours are 7A-6P, or 7A-1P for part time.

My mom retired and we had another daughter so it is more just to make things easier (instead of having my mom watch the kids 7A-5P). My husband is home about 2 days a week but we bought a house that needs work. Plus my son loves it and I love the socialization.

I am thinking of putting my son in Monday- Friday part time (7-1) and starting my daughter (she has been home up until now 2 days a week part time. 1:00 is right at nap time.....

Sorry for the rambling, I am just wondering what would work best, I know it depends on our situation but what did you use to help you decide and what are some pros and cons?

    If naptime is 1 would that mean that DD needs to come along for pickup and either be late for nap or fall asleep in the car?  If so, I wouldn't do that schedule.  I value naps like it's gold!  If you can make your own schedule I would rather do something like 8-4.  DS goes to DC from 8:30-4:00 and DD goes to preschool from 9-3:30 and it works great for us.  They each get a proper nap at their locations.
