Sorry for being a PW, but how do you use the boogie sucker so that it's productive?! DS screams bloody hell whenever he even sees it near him.. and, will scream and cry the entire time I'm trying to get the snot out.. which, basically makes the whole process useless because he's just created much more snot from crying than I was even able to suck out to begin with......? Is there some great trick I'm missing?? I just feel like it's counterproductive.. not only does he end up more snotty than I feel he started, but now he's wheezing like all hell again
So feeling defeated =(
Re: Boogie Sucker Question?
Thank you!! This is really helpful!
We use an ear syringe instead of the nasal aspirators. Same idea/design except the ear syringe seems to be easier to do and more effective at sucking, so fewer times up the nose for us. Our daughter still doesn't like it much, but it's quick and she seems to realize it gives her relief....
Good luck mama!

sorry for the dumb question... But you're putting the saline up his nose, right? Like do you buy it in a squeeze bottle or something? Just trying to picture how that should work! I thing my biggest problem was I wasn't plugging the opposite nostril! Will def be doing that tomorrow!

Yes. My H picked up the drops one night and they work fine. There is also a spray. We just have him lay on his changing table and tilt his head back a bit and then just quickly drop it in. You don't need a lot just a drop or maybe two if it runs out. If his boogers are really runny then you probably don't even need the saline. Good luck, hope he feels better soon!

Tight swaddle + saline spray + snot sucking tool of your preference.
There will be screaming, but it will be less congested screaming by the time you are done. Be strong, Momma!
