Bottle Feeding Issues

My DD is 13 weeks and formula fed. When we stop her to burp she screams and claws at our hands. Then she stops once she burps. Any idea why she may do this?? I don't mean fuss, I mean she screams! We generally burp her 3 times for a 6 oz bottle since she has reflux. It usually takes her 15 to 20 mins to finish the bottle including burping. We tried level 2 nipple since she's 3 months and she chugged and puked, so still too fast of a flow.

Any ideas???

the reason she screams is because the wind is causing her pain. its perfectly natural and all she needs is to be relieved of it through burping x

I know a lot of babies that do this, they need to be burped...then they are OK. At least she stops!

No clue but DD is doing the same thing and has since birth. Plus it takes her an hour to finish a 4 oz bottle although she usually only wants 2-3 oz. we're convinced she hates the formula which is alimentum but we tried nutramagen and she did the same thing. Level 2 was too fast and she has reflux also. Never had this issue with DS and he was on the same formula.

yes my DD is on Alimentum too....we have had much better luck with the RTF. So expensive Uggh! She is already high maintenance LOL

Caseyk- do you add any cereal to the Alimentum? The Ped GI recommended ice cereal which I started doing, but do not have a good feeling about it.
