renting. nursery. help!

So we rent and this place has country floral and striped wallpaper and pink carpeting in the bedrooms. I just found out Im having a boy and my husband is set on a jungle nursery...any ideas?

Could the striped wall paper be turned into jungle safari tent? In terms of carpet, rug installation places sometimes have reminants to sell cheap. Put furnature over... or we researced and got a rug that we liked for $80ish... think it was 5x7 but could be wrong since its been a few months

If you can't change anything, go for a large run. We got a brown rug from Target for 79.00, it covered a tan floor so no stains when we moved out. For the walls, think Canvas fabric. Jo Ann Fabrics has 50% off fabric coupon. Then install some 3m hooks, and create canvas wells for the backdrop of the room. Without pictures its hard to give more ideas.... but you can get there!

I am guessing your landlord would let you paint and even replace the carpet if you guys were willing to do the work. He might even pay for new carpet! I am a landlord and if my renters ever want to upgrade things, I am all for it. I usually have them run the colors by me first so they are neutral. Carpet is pretty cheap too if he won't pay for it and you volunteer to, he would probably totally go for it. Especially since that room sounds very out of date!

You could do a neutral wall (like tan, which would go with a jungle theme). Also there is temporary wall paper as well if you wanted to look into it!
