Am I in labor?

I've been having mild-moderate contractions for 4 hours now with cramping and lower back pain. They are 5-7 min apart but they aren't increasing in strength. I had an appt on 2/28 and I was 2.5cm (my OB said she could stretch me to 3cm) and 80% effaced. I'm 38w 2d today. I'm not sure if this is true labor or not because they aren't getting stronger. They do increase slightly with walking. Any thoughts?

Oh..and I lost my mucus plug 2 weeks ago.

Honestly, if you have to ask and can be on here asking, probably not true labor yet. You're well on your way though. Good luck!

Agree. The contractions should be increasing in strength and you shouldn't be able to talk through them.

I know I asked this 7 months ago but I thought I would update for those who are reading this now. It wasn't labor but 4 days later I was having the same type of contractions but they were 3-5min apart and weren't increasing in strength or time. It just so happened that I was at my doctors appt and she told me I was in labor and sent me to the hospital. They put me on pitocin to increase the strength but they never hurt until my water broke. I had a little girl late that night.
