My kids are sick. DD, having been told that she will feel better if she stays in bed is lying in her bed with her toys and Blues Clues on the iPad.
DS however, who has been the ER because has a bad case of croup, again, is not resting. He has decided that having croup, a fever and throwing up, are merely obstacles to his normal behaviour and is pi$$ed at the world because I won't let him do what he wants to do. What he wants to do is run and jump and climb on everything. He isn't allowed to do that because it makes him cough so hard he throws up. My day has been spent trying to keep this active monster quiet. TV isn't working, neither are books, markers, crayons or an iPad. Thoughts? Strapping him into the highchair is a no go. He has figured out how to get out of the seat belt and tries to climb over the tray. I was thinking of putting him in the car and going for a drive but DH just left with the teenagers and took DD's car seat.
