1st Trimester

1ST BABY

Besides the bleeding complications Im having my naseua is ridiculous. During 5 weeks my breast were sore to the touch and my lower back pain was ridiculous. As soon as I got to 6 weeks the nasuea came. Ive heard saltine crackers but they do nothing. I work around food and its hard because It doesnt help with all the smells.  I can hardly eat but people keep telling me feed that baby feed that baby. Everythings smells and i realize I can only eat small portions. What can I do for naseua cause its affecting my Life.

Re: 1ST BABY

  • Luckily mine has been very mild. I just make sure my stomach is never really quite empty. I snack throughout the day, and I make sure to eat breakfast, which I'm not used to! I also frequently hydrate. I think I'm one of the lucky ones. My ob/gyn said if t gets worse, to take B6 and Unisom, though he warned against drowsiness. He also recommended ginger tea and ginger ale. I haven't felt the need to take this next step, but i know the nausea is pretty bad for some ladies. Hope this helps and that you can find some relief soon!

  • I work with food too and heard the same thing. Also the smells make it miserable for me. and I'm almost 14 weeks and still having morning sickness! It sucks!!! I can barley eat too. I lost ten pounds. Peppermints or hard candy can work sometimes, as people who are saying "feed that baby" i'd ignore them: eat what you can when you can. I'm in the same boat. Also ask your doctor to give you zofran, it can help. I was on 4mg but had to increase the dose to 8mg. but warning: zofran makes you tried!

  • Sea bands and ginger gum have helped with mine. You can find them at a drug store. This should help while you're working.
