Re: ? ? February's Hopeful Hearts Check-In ? ?
Good Morning Hearts!! High Fives to all the BFPs and great betas! ((((Hugs)))) to anyone that needs them!
Im just hanging out in the 2ww and not much is going on here. PIO is going better than I thought, but the shot itself def hurts more on the left side than the right, weird.
QOTD: My first car was a 1980 Oldsmoblie Cutlas I shared with my twin sister. The car was as old as we were, but it was free! We had to staple the roof fabric up, have a stick to hold up the trunk, along with a slew of other forms of "character" but it was ours. It was also about 50 feet long, so we got a lot of boat parking references, lol!

SURPRISE! BFP 8/8/16 EDD 4/1/17
After increasing like crazy on Gonal I am finally ready for trigger tonight!!! YAY!! ER scheduled for Sunday. Very excited!! Wondering if I should move to the March group since my Stim period took way longer than planned
My first car was a BMW 318TI (1995) got it in 2003 - it was black and it was not very safe (it would hydroplane and wouldn't go in snow and had rear wheel drive not good for my new york/Boston driving!) But my favorite memory was when I was 17 me and my best friend use to sneak out and drive to Bensonhurst Brooklyn - and to Manhattan even though we weren't really allowed to drive into NYC
we thought we were such bad kids.... !! Really we just spent a lot of time sitting in traffic.
TTC Again since 8/16/2014- 3rd Clomid Cycle with IUI starts 8/18
Hi all, congrats to all the BFP's for February and hopefully there's some more to celebrate soon!
I just received my post IVF #1 AF yesterday and holy cow it is rough. I usually never have cramps like this and today and yesterday I am sitting at my desk with a heating pad trying to help. Wondering if this is normal for anyone who had a failed IVF? I think my uterus is angry with me. I have my WTF appointment next Wednesday so am glad that next Friday will be the last check in so I can share what went on.
My first car was a 1988 Mazda RX-7 (white). I got it in 1993. Had a sun roof and I thought I was hot *** listening to nine inch nails with the sun roof open with my friend with me (was a 2 seater, could only have 1 other person).

Still in the 2WW, 8dp5dt, beta scheduled for 3/5. Haven't tested because I am too afraid it will be negative.
QOTD: first car I bought was a VW cabriolet, can't remember the year but it was old and I can't believe my parents lets buy it because it was a tin can and so unreliable. Needless to say she didn't last long :
Not much new, just waiting for AF to show up so I can start planning for the next cycle. We have an appt with RE next week to talk about protocols and such. I have a feeling she may spring a surprise procedure on me too (ultrasound, HSG, etc.) She's famous for that.
QOTD: I had a silver hyundai something-or-other. It was a 4-speed and I was pretty proud of the fact that I could somehow drive the car, drink a slurpee and smoke a cigarette all at the same time. Pretty amazing feat since it was a manual and had no cupholders.
BFP#1 1/31/12, EDD 10/6/12 Harrison Gray born sleeping @ 18w6d. You changed our lives little guy.

BFP#3 EDD 12/21/13, Baby Boots born 11/23/13 My rainbow baby!
January PAL Siggy Challenge: Good Advice
Right now, I'm 5dp5dt with two embies on board and three frosties napping. They froze those embryos at six days after retrieval and they looked very good. My beta is on Monday morning. I will probably do a HPT at home on Sunday so I can prepare myself. I tested out my trigger and I think it is safely out of my system. My DH is a major POAS pusher. He came home from Target yesterday with five HPTs - both digital and evap. He's impatient.
In high school, my parents handed down the big Volvo station wagon to me. It was incredibly safe and not very fast. Since it was free, I didn't make too much of a fuss over its definite uncoolness. What my friends and I did love is how many people I could get in it. I think we managed to get 8 people in it at once. I'm sure that wasn't the best idea, but it was cool at the time.
Hi ladies,
congrats to everyone that has a BFP! hugs to everyone cycling.
I am hanging out in the 2 WW. I just got off bed rest this morning and so today I have a ton to do before working all day tomarrow. I also got my beta changed to Thursday 3/7.
QOTD: I had a maroon subrau and it look me every were. It made many runs to sonic for happy hour drinks and then going to many track meets and softball games. I loved that car.

Hello Hearts! It is so amazing to see the list of all the BFP's this month! I am just chillin in the 2ww. It is pretty brutal, and the days are feeling like forever! I am trying so hard not to be negative, but it is so hard to stay hopeful. I wish I had a crystal ball to see inside!
QOTD: My first official car that was mine and not a hand me down was a silver 2001 Nissan Xterra. My favorite memory was when my parents called me early on a Sunday morning while I was in college and extremely hungover, and they told me to come downstairs. They had driven the car up and were standing on my driveway with it as a surprise for my graduation present. I will never forget it!
Have a great weekend and GL Hearts!

It's awesome to see my name on the BFP list!! ((HUGS)) to those that need it. You all have been a great support. My beta was 102 not a thousand something (I wish! That was my estrogen.). Beta number 2 was drawn this morning and I am patiently waiting for the phone call.
QOTD: my first car was a hand-me-down from my dad- a chrysler minivan, blue with wood grain siding. it was an ashtray because my dad smoked in it. It smoked after hitting the gas at red light. yeah I was that guy. It shook is you went over 55mph. I wasn't allowed to take it to college because it was unreliable but I did have some funny memories in it.

PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!!
Hey everyone!!
Congrats to all the BPFs!!! I'm on my first IVF, but they cancelled my transfer for this sunday because I developed OHSS. I'm disappointed, but my doctor had warned me since the 3rd day of stims that it was a possibility with how fast my estrogen was rising. They got 30 eggs, 22 mature, 22 fertilized, and just waiting to hear how many will make it to freeze. I'm soo anxious!!
As for first car it was a little red geo prizm! Lots of fun trips down to the beach
This happened to me too! It sucks having to wait to do an FET but I know that the RE made the right decision. Hope you have a lot to freeze!!! 22 is a lot to work with

QOTD: 1998 Chevrolet cavalier
Got my third beta yesterday and have a fourth on Monday. I can't wait to just graduate from beta-land already!
QOTD: My first car was a 1988 Chevy Sprint. It was a POS car that I bought at a credit union auction with my own money for only $500 in 1997. I painted the outside with colorful stars and a big stripe up the middle. On the hood, I painted the "Princess of Power" logo (She-rah, for those of you that remember the 80's cartoon.) I was kind of a different teenager, what can I say? I put glow in the dark stars and planets on the roof.
I probably shouldn't admit this, but my favorite memories probably was skipping class and driving up to the mall with my friends. I always felt like such a rebel and a grown up LOL. It's wonder I graduated!

10dp3dt here and more confused than ever! I posted in Tues check in that I had given up hope because I felt just like AF was about to show. Well later that day I started spotting. Cue me crying for 2 days because this did not happen last time, and I just knew it was over. I came to terms with it and have been waiting for AF to show. Well, I'm afraid to even type it, but the spotting has almost stopped today. I don't know what to think. I am too terrified to take a test, so I continue to wait.
What terrifies me the most is that I have hope again. I hate to think positive thoughts only to think of what I will be like Monday when the beta is negative. But maybe it was the infamous "implantation spotting" LOL Maybe it's just that I am continuing my progesterone so it is keeping AF at bay. I guess only time will tell!
Also thank you to BrideJackie for your kinds words on Tuesday. I was too much in a funk to respond back, but your words were encouraging and I appreciate it so much!
QOTD- 1993 Teal Ford Mustang. Unfortuantely my most vivid memory of that car was my last memory of that car! I had just started college and was driving to my job when I noticed it was smoking from under the hood. THis was before cellphones so I stopped and parked it at a drug store and walked around to the payphone to call my dad to see what I should do. While I was on the phone the manager of the store came over and asked "Is that your mustang around the corner"? When I said yes he told me that it was on fire and he had just extinguished it! I was so embarrassed but at the same time relieved that he was there with a fire extinguisher!
Sorry this turned into such a long post!!
That is fantastic news!! Congrats!
You can move me to the BFP list!!!
I just got off the phone, our beta is 147! The one prefect little blast that we transferred snuggled right in. I'm on cloud 9. My RE doesn't do a follow-up beta, so the next appointment is a 6-week ultrasound!
QOTD: I had a hand-me-down Pontiac Bonneville (can't remember the year). It was a tank. Although at one point the starter was going...I used to carry a piece of firewood in the passenger's side seat and would occasionally use it to hit the engine so the car would start (in retrospect, I should have upgraded to some sort of rubber mallet, but a piece of firewood just has that random first-car sort of appeal).
Well look at all these BFP awesomeness going on! Hugs to everyone that needs it.
I went in for my hormone level checks THANK GOD, because I just got the call the my progestirine went up a little but only to like a 10.1. That is basically maintained since Monday. and my dr. likes it in the 20's. So guess who gets to add a crinone insert at night, and now instead of 1ML of PIO, I am up to 1 1/2 ML of PIO. BOOOOO!
Now I scared that my levels aren't good enough for implantation UGGGGHHHH gotta love this. I have to go back on Monday for them to check my levels since they are increasing them. Sigh, I guess I wasn't getting out of this cycle either without some drama.

QOTD: 1980 Cadillac DeVille. that thing was a boat, and it was awful looking, but it was freedom, and it was given to me by my grandfather! I don't really have any great memories expect being able to get around without a parent taking me.
Congratulations to all the BFPs and tight hugs to all those who need them.
I had a blood test on Wednesday, beta 2 was 52 and p4 was 12. I had another one today but I won't get the results until Monday. In the meantime I'm having AF-like cramps and starting spotting old blood (TMI, sorry). I'm still not very hopeful, but even if it goes away it's a bfp for the time being.
QOTD: my first car was my father's 15 year old Opel Corsa, and it was beige %) that car was an absolute menace and I really have no good memories from it.
BFN- IVF #1/ on 2-25-13 Beta- 0/ AF-spotting began today
Congratulations to all of you with BFP's! I am so happy for you. To all of you in the 2ww, keep the faith. I am sending out hugs and thoughts of encouragement and support for all of you that have heavy hearts. It is nice to be part of this community that supports eachother when things don't go as we had planned.
Hi hearts! Congrats to all of the BFPs - amazing! Big hugs to those who need them.
You can officially move me to the 2WW group. We transferred one 5 day blast last Wednesday. Beta is March 11th. RE was confident that everything went great, but I've been having on and off AF like cramps since transfer day. I was told it's normal but still makes me uneasy. I keep reminding myself: we've done all that we can & the rest is in God's hands
QOTD: My first car was a '95 Saturn. Forget the make, but it got me where I needed to go and didn't have any issues! The memory that (sadly) sticks out most is getting hit head on by an unlicensed driver. Car was totaled, pretty scary!
It's twin girls!! Born on 11-2-14!
praying for you! This takes such a toll on our emotions!

Got my BFN yesterday. We have an appt Monday to talk with RE. Since I'm OOP, I want to do what makes the most sense, has a sensible cost, with the best odds. I've gone from thinking trying another round of IVF to using DE to GCs to adoption all in two days. I've checked into costs, just on the web, and good grief Charlie Brown! These costs can be/are outrageous! I'm wiped out just thinking about it all and I don't really know where to start digging for info. I'm going to discuss all of this with him on Monday. I spoke with my SIL today because she offered to be our GC years ago and she's still on board, but there's so many other roads to cross. In the mean time, I just want to sleep for a few days! I want to wish all my February girls the best of luck and a h&h 9 months! Big, tight hugs to those who need them so much!
QOTD. I had a VW Rabbit that was a diesel. I had to turn off the a/c to go up hills. That puppy would go 2wks on $8 in fuel. Ahh, those were the days.

I am 4dp5dt and am symptomless. Ughh, time is literally standing still.
TTC#1 since June 2011. 3 early losses before 6 weeks. Hope Olivia born and went to heaven July 26, 2013.
So sorry about the BFN! IF just sucks! I hope you can get some answers at your WTF appt. I remember researching adoption in the past and found it extremely overwhelming also. Take your time sorting through all your options, I'm sure you will do what works best for you and your DH. Good luck to you!
Thank you for the support. It is overwhelming. If you have any suggestions, please pass them along! GL to you!

QOTD: 1995 flame red Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. LOVED that Jeep. I used to cruise up and down the "strip" at the lake w/ my windows down bumpin DMX and thought I was so cool

Prep for FET #1: Aug 2015: found "mass" in uterus on saline sonogram; scheduled a hysteroscopy to remove.
Sept 2015: Hysteroscopy: mass turned out to be scar tissue(?), all removed. Recheck saline sonogram 2 weeks later showed "stuff" still in uterus (more scar tissue? remnants from surgery? Will see if clears with a period). Recheck saline sonogram 1 week later: all clear! Start Lupron and Estrace. Follow up u/s 2 weeks later: uterine lining only 5mm, add in patches. Follow up u/s 1 week later: uterine lining = 4.3mm (argh!), stop estrace and patches and start estradiol injections twice/week. Follow up u/s 2 weeks later: uterine lining = 5mm
Instructed to keep on estradiol injections and recheck in 5 days = lining still at 5mm. Need to make a decision - go for it? Or toss in the towel w/ this cycle and start all over again next year with a new protocol. Decided to go for it as we had 17 frosties; what have we got to lose??
12/2/15 = transferred 1 perfect Grade B blast
12/9/15 = HPT - BFP!!!!

Toot toot for all the BFP's that is really exciting to see. I am in the longest 2ww of my life. I go for my beta on Monday and i haven't had a symptom yet but still prayerful because i had no frosties from this cycle.
QOTD: I had a 1997 Dodge Neon in that purple color. My favorite memories were hanging with my best friend all summer in my little whip will the radio blaring. Fun times.
