Re: Drunk Post!
Henry is insanely adorable. He and Maleigh would make a cute couple with them big ole' eyes.
I had no idea it would take four hours and H had no milk for my poor guy. Luckily they found a corner bakery and he was cheerfully slurping down yogurt when I finally found them. Needless to say, today was a racket so we're drinking our cares away here. I felt like I was on an episode of 30 Rock.
I'm good. I've been to Target, where Huggies were 30 percent off so I bought a big box of the next size. I went to the mall and looked at a cheaper mother's ring. I'd rather wait and get what I want instead of settle for what we have set aside for it right now so left empty handed. DD and I have played and she posed for her siggy meme. Yes, I made her into a meme. I'm currently swinging her so she'll nap while browning bacon and baking Parmesan chips for our Zuppa Toscana. A friend is coming over for dinner. I'm drinking a cheap strawberries and cream malt beverage and will be switching to a white wine blend when she gets here. I usually drink red, but she doesn't. So, I went for a white that had a yummy description. DH is getting his hair cut. DSS has cartoons.
Tomorrow, we are having a few drinks with our lawyer. DH is bidding his house to be painted. He did our wills for free so DH is going to price the job lower than usual. For me, drinking 2 days in a row is a rarity.
Oooh rum and coffee?? That's the way to do it!
I'm glad you had fun! Ikea is addictive....like PAINFULLY addictive.
How'd your haircut turn out??
I know. It's 7:30 and I'm drunk. I'm a 22 year old stuck in an elderly's body. Meh.
For white wine I love dry stuff...I can't do moscatos or sweet Rieslings. I like red wine in sangria form.
Your screen name makes me smile. Cheerilee...happily...
Aww thanks! Mabel! She's a boxer mix from our local shelter, shipped up from a kill shelter in Georgia!! The vet said she's between 4 and 6. Did you see the pic on Facebook of my DH hugging her like she's a freaking person? He's obsessed with her.
Lol I'm 31 stuck in an old person's body! I was quite the lush at 23/24 and would drink from about 7pm (pre-drinking) until the bars closed. Though, I forget that not everyone is on the West Coast. It's only 5:30 for me. 7:30 is an appropriate time to be drunk
For red, I prefer a Shiraz, Malbec, or Pinot Noir. For white, I prefer a Pinot Grigio or a Gewurztraminer. The Gewurztraminer is a little sweet, but has enough spice to be OK.
And thanks! When, I was choosing my screen name, I wanted something happy and something as a throwback to the 80s/90s. Cheerilee is a teacher My Little Pony. Her "pony trait" was intelligence, she was a teacher, she was purple... - it fit me
Jumping in here... I LOVE Gewurztraminer!! And since 27 Dresses, I learned how to pronounce it! LOL Trader Joe's has an amazing bottle of it for only 4 bucks.
I was thinking that it was early for drinking too, but also west coast-ish here. Wait, Cheerilee, we're in the same state! I'll probably be starting on my bottle of wine here in a couple of hours. I also love Chianti, Malbec, Pinot Noir, and Sauvignon Blanc. Strangely, I had a Zinfandel last night that tasted pretty good. My wine tastes have changed since pregnancy hormones raged through my body.
Well, it's all one color now, so that's a plus.
Can we call you Higgins now?
C mo where the French toast have YOU been?!?!
Hahahahahahah, Kiki. You're just waiting for him to sex you up? You're awesome. Love love love.
I'm too chicken sh!!t to dye my hurrrr. I want to go brown. From blonde to brown.
And YES! You can call me Higgins.
I'm not against drinking at 7:30.
I wish I could get sexed up.... Gah
Yum! I love Zuppa Toscana! Definitely one of my favorite soups. Talk to me about these Parmesan chips!
Baby #2!
I just make small piles of shredded Parmesan cheese on parchment paper on a cookie sheet. They are the size of 4 quarters, I think. Flatten them just a bit. Throw them in a 375 degree oven for a few minutes until they turn a light golden brown. Pull them out and they'll crisp up. They are SO good in the soup!
