Question for y'all... Are you getting a dresser with a changing pad on top? Or a changing table? Or nothing? My sister told me not to waste my money on a dresser since they never changed their baby there, and they ended up hanging all the clothes up. But I nanny a 7 month old and I only ever change her on the pad on top of the dresser, and they keep her clothes in the dresser. So I'm not sure what to do! Advice?
Re: Dresser vs. Changing Table
Same here! We will keep the same furniture sets for a while for dd and new baby.
We are doing a changing pad on top of a dresser.
All of our furniture has been family furniture that I used when I was younger or are family heirlooms. With DS, we had the crib, changing table and chest of drawers. His chest of drawers matches his twin bed and he currently uses it in his room. This go-round we have my great-grandparents bedroom set that have been in our guest room. We are doing a combination guest room and nursery, so the crib is coming out of the attic and we are using the top of the dresser from the set for changing table and baby clothing. Changing table is staying up there.

We had a regular 'ol dresser with a changing pad on top. (Still have, but she's a different room now with a chest of drawers because it fits better, the new LO will get the original dresser.)
Some of her things were hung, others were in the drawers. We just pulled out what we needed prior to plopping her onto the dresser.
