So I'm going through all these adorable clothes and I'm realizing I have very few newborn size clothes. Most of them are 0 to 3 months and some of them just look so tiny. Do babies wear 0 to 3 as a newborn usually?
I just want to make sure he has enough clothes to wear!
I have the same concerns. We have very few NB sized clothing. However, so many friends and family members of mine have said that their babies have only worn NB for a few weeks so it seems pointless for me to get more than what I already have (same with diapers).

0-3 might be big for a little bit but definitely doable. I do like having some newborn onesies, sometimes like gowns, and a couple newborn sleepers. My daughter was 8lb 4oz and fit in newborn for a couple of weeks.
I don't have tons of new born size either a lot of mine are 03 I figured I had enough to get by for now and I haven't had a shower yet so I might get more of that size then, but if not I'll see how it goes and buy more if needed. But they grow so fast I'm not really worried about being short on clothes. I only have about 78 things for her to wear and I think it will be enough. See how it goes!

DS was 7lbs 13ozs and 21in when born. He worn newborn size for about 10-14 days. But he was swimming in 0-3 sized clothes. We will get some newborn sizes this time again
I would definitely have some newborn but not a bunch. My son was 8 lbs 4 oz and he wore them for a week. He out grew them so fast. 0 to 3 months range in size. Some fit him for awhile and some he out grew really fast.
I only kept maybe 2 newborn outfits and 3 onsies. 0-3 months will last longer. I have mostly 3 months because even if it is a little loose it won't be for long.
Darn phone hates me today. That should read 7 to 8 not 78 I don't know why my phone got rid of the dash when I hit post. Grrr

It really all depends on your baby's size. Mine have all been 7lbs and under so they were in NB sizes for longer, but friends have had 8 1/2+ lbs babies that skip NB sizes all together and go straight to 0-3. It's best to stick with what you have until he's actually born and you have a better idea of what fits him and what doesn't.
It sometimes depends on brand too. Gerber tends to run a size smaller. So if you have 0 to 3 mos in gerber, you can pretty much keep those with the nb sizes.

Like all the PPs said, it varies by child and brand. My DD was in NB for a couple months and in 0-3 for about the same. She was 6lb13oz at birth. She was far too small for 0-3 in the beginning, I tried to put a sleeper on her but her entire body curled up in the torso area of the sleeper!

DD was a peanut and wore newborn clothes for almost 12 weeks. 0-3 were just way too large on her.
You could always go out and buy more after your LO is born. We didn't have a ton of NB stuff until after she arrived.
