sub: quick MIL update

 so for any loyal viewers who have followed the saga since this summer, here's an update for you.

today DH and MIL are meeting up to talk.  she requested that they met alone (w/o me).  they're meeting at FILs house since it's about half way.  they are divorced, fyi.  supposedly, he will be gone during their chat. 

if i was a betting woman, nothing real will get accomplished.  she'll vent about random BS things.  he'll vent about random BS things.  the conversation will go in circles of blame until they finally just say, whatever, let's just brush this all under the rug until next time.  that's basically how the pattern goes.

DD and I are staying home so she still won't be meeting her.  wonder when that will happen.

i'll be super curious as to how it goes, but, again, i'm pretty sure i already know.

    I wouldn't be above bugging the room. :) I hope it goes well, we all know how the sit down chats go. Usually the one who plans them is the one in the wrong and is trying to make the other person see it their way and feels as if forcing them to talk is the answer.

    since NEVER.... despite several attempts on both mine and DHs part.

    she's one of those that would rather be alone and right (in her mind) than admit she was wrong....that is why she is alone.  very, very alone.

    I hate it, hate it, hate it when grown adults act like toddlers. Thank goodness you don't have to be there, it sounds like dealing with that woman could take years off of one's life.

    You and miss Koa should light some hippie candles and have a drum circle, send your chill vibes to that fellow you married.

    ...said the dirty hippie who can't wait to take her baby to Eeyore's Birthday this year...

    I don't remember the back story on the MIL but I can only imagine that your mind is racing knowing that this conversation is happening!  I hope it all works out for everyone.  

    Also, I love your siggy picture!  Made me laugh!

    Ugh, I remember the story of when you went off on her and I was so proud of you! She sounds like such a twat. Glad you're not holding your breath.

    This!  I admire your strength and ability to stick to your guns.  You were one of the people who helped convince me, and give me the strength, NOT to contact my ex-stepdad or let him meet DD after everything he's been and continues to be.  

    If it doesn't work out with your MIL, Koa is better not being around that kind of drama.

    I wish it could just be easier. I really feel for all of you ladies with BSC MILs. I hope it went as well as can be expected. Treat yourself for putting up with all that you do. Smile
