DS goes to bed around 6:15 and wakes between 5 and 6. I would love for him to go to bed around 7 and sleep until 6:30 or so. I'm thinking that daylight savings time might work to our advantage. Is this realistic or will his body likely adjust to the time change and be right back to the same times as now? Is there anything you can recommend to help? I do plan on buying some room darkening curtains this week.
Re: Daylight savings time
It worked for me going backward at the last time change. (Our bedtime was later than I wanted, so when the time changed I could put him down at an earlier time even though to him it felt like the same time.) I would think it could work the same with springing forward if you want to have a later bedtime and wake-up time.
One thing that helped us get DS to sleep past 5:30 was switching from our regular alarm clock to using the quieter alarm on my phone. Even across the house with fans going in his room and ours, I swear the alarm clock would wake him up every time!
