Anyone taking nifedipine?

I'm taking nifedipine to stop contractions and although I know it's for the best, it makes me feel awful! Will this continue? Any relief suggestions?

    I was on it and it gave me horrible headaches. I was taken off of it because of that. I think most women do well on it though. What specifically has you feeling awful?

    I'm dizzy and my chest is heavy. My heartburn is crazy all the time now too. But at least I can take tums for that.

    I was switched to a lower dose extended release ( procardia XL) pill, the headaches, fatigue, tachycardia went away. It worked for me. I stayed at 1.5 cm/50% from 28 - 35 weeks. Taken off at 36, now I'm 3-4 cm 70%.

    I just weaned off of it and I honestly feel so much better! I had an increased heart rate, hot flashes, upset stomach, and loose bowels while on it and all that had cleared up. Now I am dealing with irregular early labor signs now, though, LOL. Honestly, there isn't much you can do for the side effects.
