I don't have experience with this. All I know is my mom said I had it so bad that I literally did nothing but cry for 3 months. She did say that after that, it was so much better. Just wanted to say I'm sorry and I promise, this too shall pass. I'm sure that doesn't help you, but I do hope it passes soon.

I noticed an improvement after I cut out dairy. Things really calmed down around 2.5/3 months (she'll be 4 months on the 12th). She still needs to be held constantly and is often fussy, but no more screaming for hours.
Hope your LO's colic goes away soon!
Thanks. He'll be 4 months on the 15th. He wants to be held constantly too. He's getting better. He doesn't go from 0-60 anymore which is awesome. He is fussing more and then he will cry instead of just straight out freakout crying. I also don't eat as much dairy anymore as I heard that can make a difference.
I know when we were at our peak, I wanted to smack anyone who told me this, but it really is true
They say it peaks at 6-8 weeks, then disappears by week 12 -- this stood true for us, though I think 8-9 was the absolute worst. We took a road trip at 11.5 weeks and he screamed for 11 of the 13 hours... it was terrible! However, it's almost like it was the demons leaving or something, because he's been amazing ever since and just keeps getting better (he's now 17 weeks).
I did cut out dairy, but that didn't totally fix it... though it did help a bit. He also started to improve when we spaced his feedings -- had him stretched to four-hour intervals by nine weeks.
You have to be almost out of the woods -- chin up and get yourself a big glass of wine!
I'm sorry any mom or baby ever has to experience colic. We went through this with my nephews. It was weird because one day C was just a totally different child. He was just past four months and he turned into this happy, social, little sweetheart that never cried anymore. The end is coming soon! Hang in there.
