I need a cheap car seat. What do you think of the Evenflo Discovery?

    Hated it. The handle feels really flimsy and there's no padding. It's terrible for newborns because there's no head rest or strap cover and using anything after market is a big no no. It's a really cheep seat and you can tell . I would never recommend this seat if you can help it .

    The Cosco comfy carry elite is an inexpensive infant seat that is often recommended. The elite has a front adjust harness which is so much easier than a rear adjust like the discovery.

    I wouldn't recommend it. The handle has to be down in the car, plus it has to have either 1" or 1.5" of clearance between the handle and the seat in front of it. If you need a less expensive seat, then I would look at the Graco Snugride 30 or the Comfy Carry Elite. The Snugride is currently available on Target.com for less than $100 as well as nobetterdeal.com. If you go with the Comfy Carry, make sure you get the Elite, because it is front adjust opposed to the regular one which is rear-adjust.
