Chicco keyfit vs chicco keyfit 30?

I'm confused, I have the chicco cortina travel system in discovery. It says the car seat is a keyfit. Is that the same as the keyfit 30 or is that another kind?

I am expecting twins, I got the travel system for ds and am wondering what kind of second car seat to get, and what the difference is between keyfit and keyfit 30 or if they are the same?

    The Keyfit30 is a little longer so if you are expecting tall babies you won't have to change seats as quickly.

    Check the club chicco website actually there's a promotion for the cortina together.

    The height and weight limits are lower in the non-30. I don't remember the height but I think the weight was around 22 pounds.

    The keyfit is 22lbs and the keyfit 30 is for 30lbs. However the base is the same for both seats. Our travel system was the regular keyfit for 22lbs. The Luna collection. The discovery collection is also 22lbs.

    I don't know how old your older LO is, but double check the date on the base and the seat.  I know ours are different which I thought was odd.  My son is 2 and if we were to get pregnant right now our base would be expired by the time baby came, but the seat would be good.

     Not what you were asking, sorry! lol.  But thought I'd throw that out there.

    I had the regular keyfit which was fine bc my daughter was 22 lbs at about 13 months (she actually outgrew seat height before then).  My nephew, however, was 22 pounds by about 7 months so for my sister the keyfit 30 allowed him to stay in the infant seat longer.  It depends on the size of your baby (which you can't really predict) and how long you want to use an infant seat.  If you plan on switching to a convertible by about 6 months either way the regular one is fine.

    And as far as I know, height limit is 30" for both seats.
