Sorry I couldn't resist after seeing that mc donald's fish commericial. Anyway..has anyone given their lo fish yet? If so, what kind and how do you prepare it?
We are NOT big fish eaters here, but I made creamed tuna on toast the other day for LO and she liked it quite a bit. That's about as far as our seafood endeavors ever go though.
I haven't tried shellfish yet. mostly because that's more of a seasonal thing for us. And there are some allergies in the family, so I am a little nervous even though I've given her peanut butter and other highly allergenic foods without issues.
I hate seafood (although it's so good for you, I keep TRYING to like it!), but DH loves it. So I fixed baked tilapia (with a garlic herb sauce) 2 weeks ago for DS to try for the first time. DH adored it, DS adored it, and I kept turning my head away from DS every time I put it in my mouth, because I couldn't help the awful gaggy faces I was making, and don't want to pass my food picky-ness on to him! LOL! We're planning on trying tuna sandwiches with DS soon too. (Although, because the kind we get is solid white albacore, it's a tad higher in mercury, so supposedly not recommended for babies more than once/week.)
We won't try shellfish for a while though, just because of the allergy factor. I'm not allergic to shellfish, but I have several other allergies, and there are people in my family and in DH's who ARE allergic to iodine, so we're going to be cautious with that.

The whole family eats salmon a couple times a week, and both my daughters love it (more than chicken!). We've also tried shrimp a few times and she like that too. Salmon was actually the first meat either of my girls ate!
Re: Fishay Fishay
she likes salmon, trout, and cod.
