I found this lovely website called- diapers dot com- through an email from Pampers. They were offering $10 off your first case, plus another $1 off. I looked at my ebates account and they were offering 4% back so I bought through there and used both of the coupons.
Total came to $43.28 (for a 234 ct case). I get 4% back, so that's $1.73 and the diapers website does a 5% back and goes to your next order. So in all, I'm paying about $0.17 per diaper!!!
Re: I just bought diapers...

i am so addicted too! lol. cloth diapers are amazing.
and as far as disposables, thats really smart to start stocking up! planning ahead is such a great idea, though you can never be prepared for a newborn, lol.
are you planning to do cloth from birth?
And not only what fits/doesn't leak, but what is compatible with your LO. Our DS got terrible rash from all Huggies and Pampers Swaddlers, but does great in Pampers Baby Dry.
Thumbs up! I may already be adding to my stash...

Can you give me some info on cloth diapers? I was a nanny for a women who used them, and I think it's a wonderful idea, but I can't get around how to wash them without killing my (new) washer? do you presoak? Scrap out the #2? I live in the middle of BFE so there's no way for me to have a service or anything...
Thanks!
Check out the CD board....they are a wealth of information.
Basically, until your LO starts eating solids you just throw everything into the washing machine. No scraping of poop is needed as it all goes away in the wash. Once you begin solid foods, you can invest in a diaper sprayer and rather than scraping the poop...you can spray it right off into the toilet.

This!
Yep. I highly recommend cloth!
We switched when DD was around 7 or 8 months because she was having reactions to any brand of sposie we tried. I love CD'ing and will never go back to sposies. It's cheaper in the long run, and the poo handling really is nbd. I really don't think I touch poo more than I did while using sposies.
If you stick with sposies, I concur that you should be careful. You may not like certain brands or types within those brands. And if your LO has sensitive skin, he/she may only be able to use certain kinds (or none at all like in our case).
What do you mean "killing [your] new washer"? Just as you are supposed to do with sposies, you scrape (or spray using a diaper sprayer that attaches to the toilet) out the poop and throw it in your diaper pail. I do CD wash about twice a week, sometimes 3 depending. I just rinse the diapers in the wash without detergent. wash with detergent then rinse again. It will not "kill" your new washer.
Just go on you tube and search "cloth diapering 101". There's a 7 part video series done by a woman who gives a lot of great info and tells you just about everything you need to know.
This! I am excited for an excuse to add to my stash since I will have 2u2! I will use sposies for the first week or two until we get into a routine.

IMO - .17/diaper is way too much to spend at this point. I coupon and have regularly been stocking up on diapers for a year at about .10/diaper. I would never spend more that .13/diaper, unless baby was here and we were out. I also don't spend more than .50/each for a pack of wipes.
Totally addicted! I've been researching all of the dog brands out there!
