A few days ago I posted for suggestions on how to wean the swaddle. Thank you to those who answered - I tried the cold turkey method and we've had three nights and three days of absolutely no sleep. LO and I are both EXHAUSTED physically and mentally, and I can't keep it up.
I'm a FTM. Am I being overly paranoid? Maybe he isn't ready to stop swaddling? The reason I stopped is because during playtime he's always turning on to his side and trying to flip over. I've never seen him do it sleeping, I just got worried he'd flip and get stuck with his arms pinned. I guess I assumed rolling over is the next step, but to all your experienced moms, how long from this activity did you LO actually flip? In the mean time I ordered a zipdeezip (a sleep sack basically with arms) to see if it helps.
The only way I'm getting him to nap now is to swaddle him loosely (I have the straight jacket kind, not a blanket so I'm not worried about him getting tangled in it if it comes undone) so when he falls asleep his arms are pinned, but it's loose enough he can pull them out if he needs to.
TIA
