We did NT scan but too early to tell at 12 weeks. Since NT scan came out good we have no further testing so we won't find out until 20 week a/s. I'm looking forward to finding out!! :-)
I want to know how people know already?! I wish I did. My ob said not until 20 weeks and I am only 12 : /
This is what my OB said, and I'd really like to find out at 17 weeks so I can reveal gender at my 30th birthday party. Makes me sad :-(
If you have a "boutique" ultrasound place, they will usually guarantee the results after 15 weeks- if you really want to know and are willing to pay out of pocket, that may be an option for you....
I'm not a 100% but the ultrasound tech yesterday said she's never been wrong guessing boys and and she's pretty sure we are having a boy. She pointed it out and it wasn't a leg...unless he has three....haha. Don't worry I'm taking it with a grain of salt and not going out to buy anything. Just thought it was kinda cool she can somewhat already tell.
How are people finding out so early? Blood test or something?
Yes. Depending on age you can take the Verifi or Matern21. My OB doesn't usually do it unless there is a reason though. My previous loss was thought to be due to a chromosomal abnormality and that is what they test for. I think it will become more main stream once more insurance companies cover it.
i wont find out till the 20 week mark either but from the Chinese gender chart, conception calculator, and this $50.00 gender pee test my sister in law bought me they have all said boy and i want a boy so im hoping they are all right...

We have several different ultrasound places where I live, and most of them will do gender determination at 16 weeks. That's what we're going to do. You should look to see if your area has any.

If you want it for a specific party like that why not just go to an ultrasound studio? there are a million of them and they will generally charge you $45 to do a 2D scan to tell you the sex (after at least 14wks gestation)

If you go to an independent u/s place, they should be able to tell you with fair certainty at 17 weeks, I would think...the only thing is that it would be OOP.
