It's that time again!

DH is having a vasectomy done as I type. No sex for a week for him. I'm so relieved that I don't have to worry about him bugging me for it!

Also, I didn't tell my parents that he's having it done. They would not approve and I also don't talk to my parents about anything REMOTELY related to sex... except for telling them when I was PG. I just told them he was having a procedure done and can't lift more than 10 lbs. for a week so I need them to keep the kiddos all weekend while I work.

My sis is having a baby on March14th (repeat c) and I really cant wait. I love her, she is my best friend... But, I am a little sad that Audrey isnt going to be the "new little baby" any longer.

I always spend $100 on shower gifts. BUT, for every tacky thing, I deduct $25 from that budget. So the shower I'm going to this weekend? Diaper Raffle: $75. Bring a book instead of a card and a baby item to fill the bassinet: $50. So I've spent $30 on the case of Huggies, $8 on the book, $5 for pacis. Enjoy your white Gerber onesies, princess.

So do you blame MTB for the tackiness or the Hostess? I used to blame the hostess but after reading some of those crazies on the baby shower board I wonder if the MTB is just as guilty? Does the leader (Hostess or MTB) of the tacky parade alter how much you deduct?

If it's a "SHHHHH! It's a surprise!" type of invite, and I know the person wouldn't have wanted that (e.g. my best friend was MORTIFIED to discover her sister included the book thing), then I don't really penalize. But ANYTHING I buy comes out of that budget.

95% of the time though, the MTB has involvement in the planning. Yes, I judge not putting her foot down about it. This one, I know that the MTB suggested it herself. Because Jessica Simpson or Heidi Klum or some other annoying Hollywood mom type did a diaper raffle and she read about it in People. Gift grabbiness makes me inclined to be less generous. It's bitchy, but that's why it's my friday confession.

My 17 year old brother just got his long time GF knocked up. My mother is ecstatic that she gets to become a gma again and makes comments like, "He will be too busy for college now. He's gonna have a baby!!!!! " after I ask him if he still plans on going to school. It ticks me off that she openly tells him he will be too busy for college to even consider it. Um...what????????? Indifferent

I also call out his friends when they make stupid, un-smart comments on his facebook page like, "I have no idea! Idk how ur guises family genes work ^-^ buthmmmmm, name it after me!!! " when he asked people to guess the sex (and I just quoted that word for word). I totally school them on how making a baby works. Big sister coming in for the WIN!

Except that my family tracks what you give, so, when I can't deduct without hearing about it for the rest of my life, I get you the boring stuff on your registry or whatever is on sale. 2. Of course I learn about sneaky swearing on TB after I give up swearing for lent. Cheese and rice. 3. FFFC: Thin mints are naaaaasty. 4. FFFC 2: I'm WFH today, but I took A to DC because I need a break. I feel guilty saying that, but I'm so burnt out. I need a second to eat sitting down, clean the floors, and go big potty in peace. All you SAHMs deserve Nobel Peace Prizes, winning lotto tickets, and a Federal Holiday in your honor for which only you have the day off.

We're not supposed to do that? Oops. I also nurse while drinking wine. And on Thanksgiving? I nursed while drinking a pumpkin pie martini. Everyone's happy when momma's happy, and momma needs liquid nourishment.

What? It's Friday.

I knew it was fine with some (my LC said it was OK) but both my sisters freaked out a little. --They are fine with it now.

What is really funny is that DH was fine from the get go with DWN but freaked out while I was cleaning with bleach while pg and OK with me scooping litter (it was actually fine in our circumstance).

The pumpkin pie martini sounds amazing.

And yes, "happy wife, happy life".

My nipples are twice the size they were from before I had kids. I've been pregnant/bfing since September 2010, so I'm just hoping that they'll return to somewhat normal size someday
