Hey mamas! Does anyone use this product? I use these bottles when I'm away from my lo but never the whole straight from pumping. If you do please let me know what you think of it. Thanks!
I use the drop ins storage pump system and I like it. I havent had any problems. I like that you can freeze in the drop ins liners then. This system is so easy! I like that I don't have to transfer to another bag from a bottle and then to the drop ins liners. I really really like this system!
May I ask what type of cooler bag do you use? I was thinking of the playtex fridge to go but I'm not to sure. Do you pump at work? If so how many bottle do you use? Sorry so many questions..

I used the drop ins to pump directly into the liners (from my Medela pump) and occasionally froze the milk in the liners as well. It worked great!
As for the Playtex Fridge to go... I have it and I don't recommend it. It's great that the ice packs are built into the bag, but the bag itself is SO small. It's just an awkward shape that just doesn't fit bottles well at all. It definitely wouldn't fit an entire days worth of milk that you pumped at work.
I would recommend getting a regular insulated lunch bag and put some ice packs in it, or get the Medela insulated bag and Medela ice pack because the ice pack is actually moulded to fit the bottles perfectly.
I sometimes use it. I have an Ameda pump at home and actually for some reason it doesn't get a good seal on my pump when I pump directly into the Playtex liners. So when I pump at home I have to pump into my Ameda bottles and then dump into the liners. It's NBD really, but kind of annoying that I have to wash the Ameda bottle. At work I have access to a hospital grade Medela pump. They work great with it.
Really the only downside (if it works with your pump) is that you need a lot of those cap things if you want to freeze your milk. Once the milk is frozen, you can unscrew the cap thing and put the frozen milk/liner into freezer strength ziploc bags. I do this sometimes, but again it's sort of annoying to be moving things around after it freezes.
To answer your other question, I do pump at work. If I'm using the Playtex liners, unfortunately I end up using six bottles each day for three pumping sessions. (I don't feel comfortable washing and re-using a liner or pumping warm milk into chilled milk. You could leave milk from one session setting out and then pump into that same liner for your second session since BM is good sitting out for I think 6 hours. I just don't do this.)
When I use non-playtex bottles I use four bottles.
I am a sahm who is eping but when we go for day trips I take my pump with me. I use a thirty one thermal tote. For me I just pump then dump the two liners into a new one and put a lid on it and put it in the cooler bag. Then the two liners that were hooked to the pump I put back on the pump parts and put them in a ziplock bag and then into the cooler bag for the next time I pump and repeat the process over again. This is what I would do if I had to pump at work though. I just make sure I have an extra ring and a couple lids (I say a couple lids and only 1 ring because if needed on my last pump of the day I could use a ring and liner that were attatched to the pump to get the milk home and to the fridge or freezer)
How many bottles would depend on how many times you would pump while at work. I usually just throw in a stack of liners and several lids and rings.

Hope this helps and isn't too confusing!
