  Do you know when the sandwiches were made? If the temp they sat out at was relatively cool and the sandwiches were fresh, I'd think you'd be okay.

  2 hours is basically right around the top of the "can be kept out of a fridge" window. The mayo part would be my only qualm (but keep in mind I detest mayo anyway), but otherwise I think you'd be fine. FWIW (anecdotal evidence!) I got stuck at my doctor's office for a freaking eternity before work the the other day and had my lunch in my bag the whole time. It was probably unrefrigerated for like 3 hours and I still ate it, pregnant and all.

  Mollusks convinced me. I'm certain this wasn't homemade mayo.

  thanks for your concern, Richard. You'll be. Happy to hear that all is well in my colon. Might as well throw caution to the wind and clean out the fridge for dinner.
