I just dont quite get the asprin thing , but the other stuff is kind of funny.10. First Pregnancy: You devour every single weekly pregnancy milestone update fromBabyCenter.com and know exactlywhat kind of fruit/vegetable your baby currently resembles.Second Pregnancy: ?How far along am I? Um, let me see?maybe somewhere in the first trimester? Wait, no, third. I think.?9. First Pregnancy: You diligently avoid all caffeine, alcohol, sushi and other supposed pregnancy no-nos.Second Pregnancy: ?Make it a DOUBLE ESPRESSO. I?m starting to show. AND I?M ONLY ONE WEEK PREGNANT.?7. First Pregnancy: You play French folk music and Learn Japanese CDs before going to sleep in hopes of giving birth to a multilingual genius with an IQ of 150.Second Pregnancy: Screw the folk music. Nothing wrong with having a child of mediocre intelligence! Because, let?s face it, you want to go to sleep as soon as you can when you already have a child with another on the way.6. First Pregnancy: You feel the baby kick around 20 weeks.Second Pregnancy: You feel the baby kick around 12 weeks. And why is that? ?Your muscles aren?t as strong the second time around, so you feel it more,? Candy?s OB says. *SIGH* A simple ?you?re more in-tune with your body? would have sufficed, doc.5. First Pregnancy: YOU: Guess what? I?m pregnant! FRIENDS & FAMILY: Yaaaaayyyy! This is the best news EVER!Second Pregnancy: YOU: Guess what? I?m pregnant! FRIENDS & FAMILY: Oh. Neat.4. Pretty much! It cracks me up during the check ins that one of the questions is what size fruit and I have to check every time.
This, me too, I always scroll through to fine someone with the same weeks as me before I post so I can answer that one, and the sweat pants thing is so true LOL
Diagnosed with Anti little c antibodies. DS1 7.11.11 - Anaemia and Jaundice. 10 days in the NICU, 1 exchange transfusion and 4 blood transfusions. DS2 29.8.13 - Anaemia 7 days in the NICU and 1 exchange transfusion. Both are now happy and healthy.
Not true at all for me. I'm on #4 and each one is exciting to me. I still follow the guidelines, more than ever this time actually. I've learned it is important to dress in jeans and real clothes, makes you feel less dumpy. Each one has their own bed and dresser. I take more time for myself than I used to, because its value is higher and my sanity is important. You don't have to give in and turn into frumpy mom. I'm practical, and that includes a balance between kids and adults. The adults are happier, which in turn makes the kids happier.
Mom of 5 Boy 7-11-2007 (has Autism), Boy 2-26-2009 to 11-2-11 (had cancer at 4mo), Boy 3-28-2011 (has Autism) Girl 9-3-2013 Baby due 2-22-2016
Lol. Just imagine if they added third pregnancy to this!!! With 3 on th way for me, I can tell you, it only gets worse!
Yep I agree! I forget I'm pregnant most days except for being sick because I'm too busy chasing the other two! Everyone keeps asking if we are getting things ready...ummm no we still have 30 weeks plus baby will be in our room for a few months!

I actaully did read one of these once for 1st, 2nd and 3rd kids.
It said for the first pregnancy you buy maternity clothes and try to wear them way too early. For the second you try to fit in your regular clothes too long but need to switch to maternity. For your third you are still wearing maternity from your last pregnancy and never stopped. ;-)
There were other things, also about after the child is born, but I don't remember them at all, even though I'm a third baby. But I do remember thinking that we were treating DS like he was a second child. Also the ones here for 2nd looked more like the other list's 3rds, which makes sense because they're pretty extreme pretty fast! haha
This is great! I definitely agree with many of them. Someone asked me how far along I am and I was like oh crap, I'll be in 2nd trimester tomorrow. Wow, already?!

Aren't you just supermom...I'd give you a cookie but it might make you feel "dump". And, FWIW, I haven't worn jeans in 2 weeks and my kids are perfectly happy.

It wasn't until living at the hospital 2 hrs away fom home for a year while my 2yo son fought cancer, wearing dumpy clothes, barely seeing my husband since he was working, barely even getting showers. When he died and we came home, I had to get dressed in something else, I had to get out and spend time together. It had been a long time since we had alone time or had even been intimate.
So no, I'm not super mom, I'm just trying hard to stay on top of the depression that comes from grieving my child. The stress that comes with raising an autistic child who struggles with losing his best friend. That comes with the gloominess of winter in general. If I wore sweat pants and sat around, I'd just sit around thinking, and crying. So I keep busy and try to keep moving forward. I do what's best for all of us. I'm not super, I'm struggling, and just trying hard to keep my head above water.
Think before being judgemental. I'm sure there's a lot you don't know about most of the people you make fun of.

We haven't announced yet but I anticipate this. Well parents will be thrilled, I think, but friends and people like that will be like, "oh ok."
