Babies: 3 - 6 Months

He always wakes up pissed off

DS sleeps really well at night.  He goes down between 7:30 and 8pm every night and wakes up (usually) 6:45 to 7am.  Doesn't wake up at all, even though he moves all over his crib.  But when he wakes up in the morning, he screams, kicks his feet, grunts.  When DD would wake up when she was a baby, she was happy, babbling, and cooing.  But when I pick DS up, he's ok and happy.

How long until he doesn't wake up pissed at the world?

My LO is generally a happy baby, and he only cries maybe 15 minutes per day. But when he wakes up, he goes from zero to crazy crying really quickly, and I think it's just because he all of a sudden realizes how hungry he is. Does your DS stop crying when you feed him?

  • He stops crying as soon as I step foot into his room.  I make sure feeding is not the very first thing I do.  I take him out of his crib, look out a window a little and change his diaper, then nurse.  I got into a bad habit feeding DD first thing and I don't want that to happen again.

I just worry that him being so pissed off and loud in the morning will wake up DD.

  • My DD is like this too.  She is the happiest baby, hardly ever cries, but almost always wakes up crying/pissed off.  As soon as I walk in she smiles and is fine.  I have no idea why she does this or how to help her not do it, so I have no advice for you but I will be watchng this thread to see if others do!
