Because now my supply has dropped.. alot. =[ I am EP and was pumping around 6oz each sessions every 3hours. Now, I might get 3oz every 2-3 hours(trying to pump more often).
The advice I recieved was to pump 1 to 1.5oz to relieve pressure from engorgement as often as I needed to throughout the day. I did this for about 36hours and resumed back to my 3hour scheduled routine (crossing my fingers to receive the same amount per session, just not be engorged.) This whole process started on Tuesday with a call to a local lactation consultant.
How do I get my supply back and running?
-I'm going to consume alot more water.
-What about Brewers Yeast? I can take this in pill form, rather than having to bake?
Please help. tia
Re: I think I recieved bad supply advice..
Also, look back on some threads about EPing. You will find some good information on second letdowns and breast compressions.

When you were pumping to relieve engorgement, were you pumping at other times to empty the breast?
Gotta move milk to make milk. It sounds like you weren't moving a lot of milk, so your body thought you didn't need it to make a lot.
Things to try: fenugreek, oatmeal, brewer's yeast, flaxseed, mother's milk tea, more milk plus, goat's rue, power pumping for an hour, drink a Guinness...
